Good Morning Warriors like Robin I am feeling about as far from a Warrior as is possible, steroid crash is completely how it was Robin, one day on the go, next bam couldn't get out of bed....weak, crying and feeling very sorry for myself.  Does anyone have toe or finger nail probs....maybe just my curse instead of crusty nose. sheila, welcome - do you know what your treatment is going to be yet? Egg - feel for you so much, you will get through this.  We all need to vent the tears, nothing wrong with that at all.  I know you are on your back in hospital but we say when the going gets tough ---then its just one foot in front of another.  Probably sounds rubbish from where you are but little steps add up to a long journey. And goodness knows we are all on one. Beedot - early on this thread, cracked heels were mentioned and I have creamed mine every day.  If you can get hold of the hospital PLIAZON which I was given 2 days ago for open dermititus on my hands it might help you too.  Provided you dont have open sores.  Its made such a difference to me in just two days. Mooney - Also have red cheeks and Boots suggested No. 7 Airbrush Away - Colour Balancing Primer.  Its basically green war paint - but it really does cover up the red without looking obvious. Egg, you really have had a bad time, like everyone else here you are in my thoughts and hope that Wtp 2016 advice gives you some comfort.  We are behind you 100%. my morning routine with pills, potions, creams and injections.....late last night realised had forgotten injection! at least I don't have to wash my hair and with streaming eyes and a runny nose make up is not an option.  Robin you have lifted us all with your completion of chemo and Jackie what a marvellous boost you give us, Grad Badges who would have thought....but I so want one!  There seem to be T shirts out there but the badge from the forum is way way more precious. love to all, especially to Egg, Ebimx ... Good morning Warriors, Robin well done for being No.1 scout.  May your SE's be kind to you. T.5. Done for me and I mentioned the creepy hands to the nurse and she gave me PLIAZON cream which has made a difference to mine overnight. havent yet got the much desired crusty nose, which seems obligatory if I am to be a proper Warrior, (Jackie you got BOB so that gives you an out on the nose), but mine streams like a tap as do my eyes. have joined CUFitter based in Angmering.  They have a brilliant gym which offers chemosize, Pilates and yoga (at last Esther I have found some yoga!) today, only on the basis of the steroid lift, my OH and I are doing a 2 hour walk with lunch to finish.  Should be fun meeting others in same boat.  They also have a regular meet up once a week for social events and fund raising.   Who is our second scout to finish??? Yaay Robin is doing her last chemo !!!   Fantastic news, can't tell you how pleased I am for you. always a little bit of drama on this thread but strength - like jackies and the rest of you ladies is so contagious. the nose thingy seems like something to look forward to - not!  Whatever we will get over it and be stronger for it. loved the idea of Gin as a mouthwash, listerine took the top layer off my tongue...at least I would enjoy the gin. what would we do without this thread. my zapping doesn't start until 3 so Robin we are going to have a bigger stretch but hey we are Warriors we CAN do it.  Well done for today.  You can go home a happy bunny, even if you have a sore nose. love to all for all your wonderful help, Ebimx  ... Robin games up for me then, had my brother came to visit from Huddersfield.  We had wine Saturday, Sunday , Monday and Tuesday ....guess am I done for !!    Wishing you all the very best today. Hi Robin, i am due tomorrow T2,  I had my bloods done today at community nurses and I got a call which I didn't take but it was an NHS number so maybe they haven't got my bloods either or there is a problem!  Maybe we won't be holding hands this time....I blinking well hope we do ....fingers crossed...actually everything crossed that we both get lucky and get zapped!  Who would have thought we both were desperate for chemo, you especially as it's your last one. love Ebimx ... Hello Tax Warriors, T ! knocked me for six too, right up until Day 13 when I started to feel less tired. Such a relief to read that some of you had peeling hands, tummy pains, indescribable taste in the mouth and cranky just doesnt cover how awful I have been to my OH.  I am so sorry that you have had some or all of these things but it does help to know they are almost "normal" on Tax. Mooney- After 16 years of living in the same house we moved out of the town we had lived in all our lives - admittedly only 11 miles along the coast - but it was the best thing we ever did, not even the tinest of regrets.  A little worried that some of you are taking Zoledronic/Zometa for your bones, I have had osteoporosis and nothing has been said about protecting my bones at all.   This forum is just the best place to find information!! Good Morning Teddy Warriors Its a beautiful day here and I have just taken my sister to the start of 10K run in Brighton, there is a marathon as well later so she had to be there early.  Bless her she has raised over £500 in just over a week for Macmillan & Breast Cancer Care.  Photos taken at the start with her in her running gear and me with my bald wrinkly head !!!  Both of us in tears !  A great moment for us both.  We live opposite each other and her support has been nothing short of incredible.  Will attempt later to post a photo. Catch ups:  Egg - quite right about Tax - get in extra supply of loo rolls.  I was told that the anti sick drug - Akynzeo - caused constipation whilst on FEC.  After I had had the last treatment !   Jackie - what a star! Just 1 to go, thats a result even if you are feeling bad now in three weeks time you will be done with Chemo and that cant be bad. Mooney - you ok? Beedot - Once the bone pains kicked in on Tax 1, I took a Clarityn each morning (as well as my anti inflams) two days later they were almost gone.  Next treatment I intend to take them from Day 1.  I didnt get a choice about the PICC line, I was told it was going to happen.  However it has been a blessing.  I would recommend it. Robin - you ok, how many Homes under Hammer you up to now?! Alison I am really hoping my hair might start to return after Tax 2 to make up for the departure of eyebrows and lashes. Welcome Alison, lovely to have you with us. scotty so pleased to hear Tax 2 was easier.  I am Day 8 of Tax 1 and on the floor with exhaustion.  Bone pain bad on Days 3& 4, threw everything at it and it left.  Day 6 watched my first homes under the hammer! Yesterday and today been on the bed.  Mouth a mess, everything tastes ghastly.  OH been out to get me ice lollies!! So if Tax 2 is better than this I shall be well pleased! think that was a rant! Thanks Egg will give it a go, cant live on chocolate (well maybe...no I really cant!) I love pineapple and its fruit so it must be good for me!  I cant remember who (memory loss - who would have thought it!) but someone suggested ice lollies.  only problem with them is sugar but what the hell, does sugar really matter when goodness knows what is going into our bodies. My brother tried to call me a couple of times over the week end and I didnt pick up.  This morning I emailed him and told him about the support you Teddy Warriors give and how we had gone from being moth eaten teddy bears to Tax Warriors.   His response:  You seem a bad ass, kick ass posse who will not be beaten.   I think he got that about right. Hi all Teddy Warriors  Beedot, very sorry that you missed your session but so good they are double checking all areas.  My PICC line has been a blessing as cannulas have been a nightmare in my past.  It was so easy to instal with absolutely no pain and the once weekly flush is also easy and done fairly quickly. esther hope you ok on your steroid high Robin even worse than the shooting pains is the mouth taste, everything is horrible, only thing I can eat without wanting to spit it out is chocolate.  Nothing takes away the taste.  Never imagined that this would be a big hurdle but it is for me. Hi Tax Warrior Teddies (T.W.T's ?) I am so pleased that moon face has been mentioned as I looked in the mirror the other day and thought I was looking very pudgy. Also although I am 3 weeks behind you Robin I am sure I have a very fine covering of hair on the top and back of my head that I dont remember being there.   However I am not remembering anything at the moment so it may just be hopeful imagination.
