Thanks Alex. This is my concern - more biopsies next week and then more waiting. Part of me just wants them to take both breasts anyway(not meaning to sound flippant as I realise this is a huge thing). My worry is more that is spread elsewhere but nowhere is tested or imaged? Will pursue them I think xx

Hi all I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago yesterday. Had an MRI today and back next Thursday for more ultrasound and biopsies. So this means another wait for results Before I find anything else out? Plus we have Easter and I'm getting very concerned that I've almost been forgotten! My BCN was on holiday for the last 2 weeks and I've not heard anything. I'll call her tomorrow but just curious as to others experiences? Thanks Sarah

Hi Melia I'm 42 with 3 kids - 10,8 and 2. I've been diagnosed with invasive lobular but am waiting on MRI and more ultrasound etc to determine the exact picture. I was told at my appointment 3 weeks ago. We've told our kids- worst thing ever! I'm so worried for them and that I'll not be around for them all. Xx

Also re advice about your children - you must go with your instincts I think. We told my eldest 2 as I couldn't hide it as I was so upset. I just wanted them to know the truth rather than worry about a secret problem. However that's not the way for everyone. It was the most awful thing I have ever had to do but it's out there now. We could contact their school and friends parents who have all been a fantastic support to us and them and hopefully will continue to be once everything kicks off. My boys were distraught but after a couple of days everything went back to 'normal'. However it will be tough once the surgery etc starts. There is no right or wrong way. Just your way. Good luck xx

Hi Karen I'm similar to you too- told on the eh day of my appointment 3 weeks ago (a shock!)which was then confirmed the following week (invasive lobular) but I'm still waiting as I have an MRI this week and more ultrasound and biopsies next week which means even more if a wait! This limbo is awful as I am just imagining it is everywhere! Xx

Hi Carole I'm similar to you too. Told 3 weeks ago I have breast cancer - back tomorrow for MRI then next week ultrasound and maybe more biopsies which means another weeks wait! I feel as you do- I just want this started! I'm 41 and have 3 young children and my eldest 3 just want to know when we will be finished- I can't even tell them when it's starting!!! Every twinge I get anywhere I am imagining I have it there too!Wishing you the best. Sarah xx

Same here Melia. I have my MRI on Thursday - 2 weeks after being told it was cancer. Then another week for more ultrasound and potential biopsy, which means another week to wait for those results! It's torturous! However I do realise that this all needs to be done. Like you in some ways I take some comfort that they didn't call me back immediately - but of course I am imagining that cancer is just spreading around me every Day! Wishing you luck and positivity!
