Thanks so much ladies 🙂 what leave in conditioner dud you use please blue ash? Did you use a sleep cap or hair net or anything to sleep in? Congrats on keeping the hair I hope I'll be the one helping and advising people in a fee months! Did u ever wash in cold water as have read this van help straight after treatment, but I'm thinking my head has just been frozen so what use would that be really. Xx

Ah thank you. You sound like u have coped relatively well. I'm not sure I would. And I defo totally don't have the features for such a look haha. I've already had a cap fitting I think I've got a strange shape head as the cap that fit at the sides and all over was loose on the top I think. I'm good to be terrible when I havw my treatment I'll be making them check loads. And it's not vanity our hairs out identity, I think I'd cry of someone said that to me xx

Hi ladies im due to start treatment next week and cold capping. Im trying my best to think positive that im going to keep it but having total anxiety over it now. No one data suggest a wig to me as I'm so adamant im going to keep it. I think I'm prepared as I'll ever be, will pillow case, wooden comb, neutral shampoo etc but keep thinking I've forgot something important. Any additional tips please. Has anyone used a little cocunot oil to style hair just a little on the tips of my hair i was thinking to stop frizz. And should I be using a leave in conditioner after the cold caps over x

They wouldn't give me the test as I had a micromet found in node. But was told I wouldn't have got it even if I didn't have that as I had a couple of tumours grade 3 so was told I would need chemo anyway for that reason (They were tiny the tumours only mm's)

Anyone successfully cold capped and kept their hair doing fec. I know the fec is the worst for hair loss. I was feeling fairly positive about keeping it, last night I had my very long hair cut too shoulder length which has totally depressed me so not sure how I'll cope if i lose all my hair! I'm reading so many stories of people giving up after a couple of fec due too how much hair they have lost. Anyone been lucky enough too keep a fair covering? Also if I manage to keep a lot say for the first 2 does this mean I will be ok for the rest id be even more upset if I got to round 6 and it fell out. Please reassure me someone.

Hi argy Margy that's Interesting to read. They've not once advised me to moisturize and I think it needs it as some of the scabby areas just look dry more than scabbed I rand my nurse today and was told wait to see the surgeon next week. I've only got a small expander in up to 250 now with one final one next week but they said they might not do it now due to how shiny the breast is looking. Im.probably worrying over nothing as I like to do but I'm convinced my scars are going to burst open! I wasn't expected to have radio but their thinking I will need it now aftee chemo xx

Was just wondering how often people got 'pumped up' and by how much with an expanded implant in. I'm currently getting 50ml weekly but thinking it's too much. I'm not in pain but parts of my scar haven't healed and my boob is really shiny! Should I be moisturizing now ? I'm 5 weeks post op. My nurse never advises me and I always forget to ask loads of things x

Queen bee in totally with you on this im finding the hair thing the hardest to deal with, it has taken me a good 5 years to get my hair the length I wanted it as it would never grow past my shoulders. Regular trims, treatments, overnight conditioners..amd all for nothing. And im sick of people telling me 'it's only hair, it will grow back' that's not the point tho I feel like all my femininity is being taken with this disease. Sorry for that rant haha xx

I had 2 inches cut of my hair the other day I went in with the intentions of getting it cut into a Bob but wimped out and felt like crying with the 2 inches! God knows how I'll cope if I lose it all! Feel the fear I'm at Gateshead too.. my reconstruction is amazing..i couldn't have asked for more. I think staff at Gateshead are great too everyone is so nice. I'll be getting chemo at the Freeman though x
