Helena   Wouldn't you think the policy would be the same at all hospitals, 18 months is a long time to wait for your first mammo afterwards. I know it will be a worry for you but hopefully it will just be routine and all will be well. I have only had one appointment with my Oncologist which was to get the results of the Oncotype test, all of my other appointments have been with my Surgeon/Consultant so not so sure what the policy will be at my hospital other than I have been told I will have mammograms every year.   The physiotherapist from the Radiology department has rang me this afternoon (I originally had an appointment this afternoon before my radiotherapy but they had to move my rads appointment because of the ongoing machine not working so cancelled the physio) and she said its quite common to get some stiffness of the shoulder round about half way through the treatment so she has told me to do some more exercises and she has left a booklet for me with the pictures when I go this afternoon. Well done Jaxxi, hope your last session goes well.   I didn't get home until 9pm last night. For some reason it took half an hour to get me in the right position, I think it was mostly my fault I just could not relax my shoulder, I'm feeling really tense constantly. Hopefully it won't take as long today, I am over half way through now.   I can understand it must be weird when all active treatment is finished, I'm pretty certain I will feel a bit scared and apprehensive. I am going for my follow up appointment with my consultant the day before I finish my last session, will I just have more routine mammograms after that or do you tend to have other appointments with consultant?   Good luck ladies,   Kaz xx ... Otter,   I hope your pain subsides soon. I woke up in the night feeling a bit sore too but seems ok now.   I was just about to get changed to go for my appointment a few minutes ago and the phone rang, one machine still down so they have delayed my appointment to save me hanging around there, now got to be there for 7:45pm! 8th session today of 15 and I so can't wait to get them all out of the way.   Hope everything going well for everyone.   Kaz xx     ... Thanks Otter,   Glad your third session went well.   Seventh session done for me. Was a bit of a nightmare, got there half an hour early only to be told that they were running 45 minutes behind because the machine that was broken on Friday was still not fixed. Eventually got zapped and then the journey home was horrendous, took 45 minutes to travel the first 3 miles, mustn't grumble though. Glad number one went well for you Otter.   Just going back to conflicting advise on creams and things, I asked for advise when I had my appointment the other day as I had not been told anything. I was told to use whatever I normally use re shower, deodorant etc and if I needed a moisturiser to use E45 or any Aquaeous cream as apparently after a lot of research that is the new protocol.   My appointments are all in the tea time rush hour which is a bit of a pain, takes 25 mins going and about 70 mins coming home but needs must so hey ho.   Good luck ladies,   Kaz xx   ... I was told that Dr. Reddy's is no longer being manufactured. When I went to collect my prescription on Friday the pharmacist was issuing a brand called Glen something? but I don't really want to keep trying different brands so I asked for Accord again. I was a bit emotional on Accord which was the first brand that the hospital prescribed but I am wondering if it was all just hitting me about what I had been through with the diagnosis and surgery and waiting for results of Onco type test so am giving it another go and see how it goes.   I had to have a Dexa scan the other week and have found out that I have Osteopenia so have been prescribed with calcium/vitamin D tablets which are making me constipated so will have to make an appointment with my gp to see how that can be sorted. Hi CK,   Yes I had my first yesterday and have had my second one today. Nothing to report really, all went smoothly and don't feel any different up to now but I realise it's early days yet.   I have not really been given any info on Maggies and about what creams to use and what not to use toiletries wise, I only know from the things I have read on this forum. Hi Nellie,   I have been reading through some of the older posts and came across this thread and your reply. I am quite alarmed to read that you have been told that Dr. Reddy's is made in Inida and has now been withdrawn from the market due to poor quality control as that is the brand that I am taking at the moment. Surely if it had been withdrawn back in October I shouldnt have received it three weeks ago! I am wondering if you were just told that because the GP initially admitted that Dr. Reddy's was too expensive and was trying to fob you off? I am really quite worried now if it really has been withdrawn. This in only my second pack of Letrozole,  I have had a little stiffness in my hands and feet and had the same with the last pack which was Accord but was so very emotional on Accord with bad mood swings too.   Can anybody shed any light on Dr. Reddy's being withdrawn please?   Kaz xx . ... Hi CK,   Great to hear you had good results with clear margins from your surgery. I start my 15 rads Wednesday 7th as well but at Christies in Salford so will be nice to see how you get along with yours. I got all my appointments when I went for my planning appointment last week so am sure they will give your your otther appointment times when you go tomorrow. I have got a late morning appointment tomorrow but then will be stuck in afternoon/evening rush hour for most of my other appointments unless they change any of them.   Good luck   Kaz xx ...
