Thank you Sar   How is the cold cap going? What is the theatre cap for? I used the cold cap throughout my treatment & although I have lost a great deal of hair & have noticeable (to me) bald patches my family & friends say they are not visible to them . Hi Susie B thankyou for your kind thoughts. I pop on here now and again to see how everyone’s doing but because I’ve been suffering from anxiety I find it easier to try and take myself away from the situation. I’ve never suffered from anxiety even when I had 3 children under the age of 3 and then years later a seriously ill grand daughter, I guess this BC brings out different emotions in all of us.   Sonia... I too lost my eyelashes right st the end after my last chemo. I was wondering if it’s ok to have false ones put on? Nettienoo.. I’m sorry to hear your chemo got postponed at the last minute, enjoy your extra ‘good’ week and good luck for your last one. Trixielady.... hope you are ok? Love & hugs to everyone else. Ive now finished my treatment as I cannot have radiotherapy. The T has left me with an infection in my hand which the hosp says can happen, yet another course of antibiotics, hopefully it will go soon, what with that & the extravation I suffered my poor hand is a mess. The nurse drew a line around the infection it started off a bit heart like & then became this.......photo attached   😂 😂  I haven’t started my Letrozole yet but am having monthly  Zoladex injections, 6 monthly infusions of Zometa, daily calcium tablets & monthly liquid vitamin d which my daughter said looks like a shot   😂 phew!!  & to think I never liked taking tablets!   Aw photo won’t upload, says it’s too big? Hi ladies, I havent been on here for a very long while. but I have been thinking about all of you. Ive been suffering from anxiety due to having extravation during one of my treatments and a hospital stay, I was prescribed lorazapam, which i refuse to take!  However I know its the last week of treatment for some of us so I just wanted to wish everyone the very best. Morning Katflo & Other cold cappers  I’m cold capping and am 1 week after 2nd Fec, I’ve shed lots of hair but am told it doesn’t notice to others, however I’m very aware that my parting is a little wider & I have a small bald spot on the parting too.  I see you’ve used Toppik, Can this be used during chemotherapy? Morning Trixielady  im getting ready to go to session 2 but sat crying 😢 funny enough it’s pouring with rain too. I don’t know why, I’ve had such a good 2 weeks and spent half term with my girls, I guess I just don’t want to be ill again. Seaside Sar I work in a school too & have been off since November. I have a monthly sick note but can’t see me returning to work until at least July.  I am using the cold cap but yesterday, day 19, a crucial day apparantly according to my onco,  I noticed hair starting to come out it’s been coming out quite a lot today too,  it’s more noticeable on my kitchen floor, I’m constantly hoovering! My 2nd session is tomorrow, I wonder if using the cold cap again will stop it falling out? I hope so 🤞🏻 Xxxx ... View more

Well done Daisydi Thats 1 down!  I keep focussing on that 1 down 'only' 5 to go and I cant wait to get there, im the same as you i rarely took a paracetamol and now im rattling with medication. Hi Rosina Thankyou for your advice I will try some yoga out tomorrow and see how i go. The class i went to did a lot of weight bearing poses and i know i wouldnt be able to do those. I was only given 3 exercises by the physio to do, ive found some more advanced ones on line  including the 'up the wall' and will start those tomorrow too. Lisa xxx ... View more

Hi Mbj  Glad your nausea was bearable hopefully ours will be on the next one, I cant bear sickness theres nothing worse. Apparantly they start us on the basic meds and increase to the others if needed but dont know until we try. xxx ... View more

Hi Marilyn I had Ondansetron, Dexamethsone, this is a steroid, Metclopramide after ringing the helpline and a visit to the hospital they gave me an anti sicknes injection and Cyclizine but have said that Emend is the best and hopefully that will be prescibed on Monday. I was so dissappointed as I didnt suffer pregnancy morning sickness, this is meant to be an indicator and drank lots of water before. I vomited straight after taking the meds and immediately after the injection. It just makes you feel rubbish doesnt it? I cant believe how well i have felt this week, im pleasantly suprised, Im going to Cardiff for some shopping and lunch with a friend this afternoon and am going to make the most of the next few days before number 2. I wasnt sure if the headache was from that or from the chemo,  I didnt realise we shouldnt take paracetamol I took 2 every four hours and didnt think about temperature oops! Hi Trixielady My implant feels quite hard and as my scar is going across the middle it feels like a boob of 2 halves, I did joke and wonder if thats what all young boobies felt like and I had forgetten  its been so long My youngest has just turned 15, she is very sensible,i have been very open with all 4 of my daughters. She could stay at the house on her own as is old enough but wants to come with me, bless her.xx   ... View more

Good morning Marilyn Im glad to hear that you are feeling much better and got a good night sleep. I was given an information folder at the hospital, it says that if your temperature falls below 35.5 you should phone your chemo line for advice. I also vomited non stop from the treatment day Thursday to Monday, thankfully my medication is being changed ready for next Thursday, i really hope it works im already dreading it and was on the verge of not doing it, what anti sickness have you been given? Morning Trixielady I think we have spoken about this before on another forum, although my brain is foggy!   How does your feel?  Mine has always felt 'odd' but yesterday and this morning it feels more uncomfortable, the port seems to be jutting out a little bit more. Im wondering if its because the swelling has reduced or that im using my arm/chest muscles more. Im going for my first fill on Wednesday, just 50mls in think. Ive got 3 appoinments at the hospital next week, bad planning for me as it half term next week in Wales and im not sure that its appropriate to take my daughter with me. Also, ive been a regular yoga goer until all this kicked off, i would love to continue but what about all the positions using my very weak incapable arm? Any suggestions off you lovely ladies?
