There was a thread on this forum on armbands a year or two ago - I remember some people were tired of pink ones and someone had found a source of purple ones instead. Maybe if anyone at BCC sees this they could help us to find it (search facility still doesn't work).

No, sm, if you use the 'threads' version you will find that each thread is only listed once and to the right it tells you how many 'replies' thee have been and how many of these are 'new' since your last visit. So no scrolling down through repetitive post-by-post to find the thread/s that interest you.

Here is what I hope will be good news to those of us who are fed up with scrolling through pages and of pages of Latest Posts: There appears to be an error in the link given by Helen BCC (Latest posts closed thread)in which she quoted Anna BCC's Sept. 16th link (Bring back latest posts thread). We are getting ALL posts because Helen has put 'post' instead of 'thread' at the end. Apologies of course if I am wrong. I would have 'replied' to Helen with this information if the thread had not been set to block replies.

I agree - this is the only forum I have ever seen which displays latest posts in this way, and the longer they let it go on like this the worse it will become. Is there nobody at BCC who understands what a problem this is for us, the users?

Well I think you should maybe give the psychologist a try - what have you got to lose? Going to a clinical psychologist is different from counselling - they don't tell you what to do, just listen to how you feel and you can say anything you like in a sympathetic anvironment. I went to a lovely man when I was having treatment and those sessions played a massive part in keeping me from just giving up when I was at my lowest ebb. So 'suck it and see'

You are absolutely right cornishgirl in all you say. There should be no need to bookmark latest posts and it is ridiculous that it can't be arranged that only the latest reply to each thread is displayed. It really astounds me that nobody in charge of the forums seems to 'get' this. PS. You don't need spellcheck, your spelling is perfect!

What I did was tell the pharmacy that I would be getting all my anastrozole from them for the duration of my treatment and they were quite happy to get in the brand of generic I wanted. They may lose a few pence if that brand is not the cheapest but they get 5 years worth of dispensing fees guaranteed.

Before these forums were "improved" there were threads about breast forms, mastectomy bras, etc. Where are they now? I had expected them to be in the Living. after BC section, but no. Search facility is still dysfunctional so no help there. Can BCC or anyone help me please?

I agree with you 100% cornishgirl. If so many people have objections to having easier access to latest posts why haven't there been any on here to say so? Anyway, all we were asking for was a button on the front page so that those who want to read latest posts without jumping through a series of irritating hoops could go straight there, and those who don't want to read what might distress them could feel free to ignore.

I am in the same boat as kirsty with anastrozole/Arimidex. Have just finished the 5 years and noticed the loss at the front particularly in the 5th year. Will see what happens now consultant has taken me off. Probably won't improve but hoping it won't progress further.

I agree with you 100% cornishgirl. I wish I had never seen that horrible tasteless advert. Of course a person in that poor girl's position will say all sorts of things, she can't help how she feels, but those who have thoughtlessly exploited her words to the detriment of another group of cancer sufferers have displayed a shocking degree of ignorance of the facts.
