Hi Nancy Happy 60th for yesterday hope you had a lovley day.   It my 60th on 10th September  and unfortunately I got chemo that day.  They did offer to change it to the next day. Hi jo 77 These taxil drugs seem to be giving some of us nasty side effects. I had chemo last Thursday  then on Saturday I started getting these pains in legs and that was before the injections.  Then Sunday pain got worse was up all night then hv been in bed all day since Monday which I hv never done before dragged my self out yesterday as had picc clinic. Cancer nurse has been phoning me to see how  iv been but as got no temp they didnt want me going up to hospital. They hv now got me a face to face appointment next week with oncology doc. As I'm not going through this again. Paxitacil gave me reaction straight away and this Abraxane one is obviously fighting my body to..  so hopefully they  can find me somethink else as only got 2 more to go. I got put on Abraxane last Thursday  with Carboplatin as reacted on 2nd round on paxitacil.  Not had no sickness but got terribly hurt burn Friday night and last night got all the pains in all my joints and pain in places I didnt think. Alternating between heat pads and ice blocks at moment plus paracetamol.  Any body else had this. This is my 5th chemo round  just 2 more to go. Then op and radiotherapy.  So nearly there. Good luck Cecilia  with your last chemo.  Iv got 3 more to go. I started paxitacil last week  but  unfortunately it didnt like me and I had a reaction to it on ward.  So they now going to move me bk to 3 weekly chemo and give me a different drug as well as the Carboplatin I was having as well.  Hope you get a rest or break before you have to start anh think else. Hi heather77 Yes I'm doing ok. Chemo ward phoned me yesterday to check I was ok. And they changing me back to just 3 weekly chemo  so I now only hv 3 more chemo to go instead of lots of weekly onesx  still haveing the Carboplatin but never said what the new one is yet. Hi kitkat  Well that was a eventful afternoon   just got 10ml of paxitacil in me when I had a serve allergic reaction to it.  So now got try a different chemo next week.  Fingers crossed for what ever that one will be. I must say my nurse and rest of team reacted so quickly.  She said it was a good job she was still stood by me when it happened. Hope you are feeling ok.xx ... View more

 Hi kitkat.   Hope your chemo went ok yesterday. And that your feeling as good as you can.  I'm getting in a bit if a panic about mine tomorrow  even thou thus time I'd just the paxitacil   but where you normally get a break before each chemo,  I feel like iv not had chance as still dont feel right and thought of doing steroids and injections all over again  is just makeing me cry .   But I no I got do it so slap face time and pull my self together.  I'm in awe of you younger ones on here with children to deal  with at home you are all amazing Have a good day.xxx ... Hi kit kat hope you dont mind me asking.  I started paxitacil  and Carboplatin last Thursday.  Hv to go every Thursday for paxitacil  then on the 3rd Thursday both chemo again. Before this I was on fec which I did ok on. But this time I hv been in agony with back pelvic and knee pain.  So not sure if it down to the new chemo. Hi tara  sorry to hear you been struggling.  I most admit after my 3rd round of chemo EC  I struggled for longer then the first 2.  On Thursday I start my next round of chemo of Carboplatin and paxitacil  feeling a bit nervous  as the Carboplatin is every 3 weeks but I got have the paxitacil every week. Hi Leanne  I had my 3rd session of chemo on the 9th  and I also hv felt worse this time  but not sick just queasy  and light headed. I also hv had the funny nose feeling  I only normally get that on day of chemo, but this time every think seems to be taking longer to dissapear.  On the 30th July I start a new chemo cycle of Carboplatin and paxitacil  just hopeing they dont make me sick.
