happy birthday for tomorrow tara. I had my 3rd chemo on Thursday and felt quite sick this time round but wasn't actually sick as took the tablets but they seemed to take longer to kick in this time. Iv also been sat in garden as feeling really tired so nodded of a few times lol. Got to go for scan to tomorrow. I presume that to see if it shrinking ok so fingers crossed I can tell it not as big now but that might be just wish full thinking. X Love julie

Lol hi cactus queen. I'm glad you said this. As I been saying to my husband do i smell as csn smell a funny smell he was saying no. Even after i showered and put clean clothes on i say it again. So maybe it just a chemo smell we getting 🙈🙈 xx

Hi jo77 My picc is in my right arm as my cancer is in my left breast. Thou it took a bit longer to get mine in due to my veins I didnt feel a thing as they give you a numbing injection. Takes a few days to get use to it. But now it no problem what's so ever. X

Hi jo 77 I had a picc line put in day before my treatment started. It was fine bruised a bit but been ok. And you then dont hv to worry about needles or thinks as they just attache any think to the picc line. I hv to go to picc clinic every week to get it flushed out which is a bit of a pain as it takes 25 min to get there and then I'm in and out . I was given a waterproof covering for showers and baths but then I brought of Amazon some pretty picc covers to cover the bandage they give you.

Just got bk from seeing oncology doc have had 2 chemo got 3rd next Thursday 9th she was really pleased as said there is already a change and chemo was working. She also said I could reduce the dosage of steroids I hv to take after chemo as I suffer from a big dip day after I stop so hopefully that will help with my sleep and less crying. After next chemo I hv 3 week break as normal then I start on Carboplatin every 3 weeks for 4 sessions with weekly paclitaxel as well slotted in. So fingers crossed they dont make me I'll as hv been quite lucky so far. X

Hi anna45anna Hope your day improves. I had my 2nd chemo last Thursday. As soon as I got home I had some think light to eat then took a sickness tablet and that seemed to help. My down side is the steroids and the injections. They hv made me feel more down this time. But hopefully by sat is when I start feeling my self. We all seem to suffer differently but the lovley ladies on here all give out good advise. They hv helped me on my off days x

I hate these injections. Ist chemo wasnt to bad and doing the injections. But this time on day 5 I'm light headed feel exhausted and just dont feel my self. Roll on Friday for last one for this round. Hope it dont get worse doing them after each round of chemo.family 😪😪

Hi make sure you take a bag with you for first chemo. As I had so much to carry out. With injections plus bucket to put them in. And my steroids and sickness tablets. Had a job carrying it all out . As I got big bucket this chemo just had injections and steroids to bring homex

Bit shocked this morning, all day yesterday my scalp felt tender. Then when I got up and washed my hair, quite a bit came out. I knew this would happen, but not so soon as only had 1 chemo session 2 weeks ago. Any body else's hair started comeing out so soon.x

Hi Iam477 I have a picc line had it put in day before chemo started took about a week to get used to it but it fine now I have to go to picc clinic every week to get it flushed out and to change the dressing I have my second round of chemo on the 18th . Hope every think go's ok for you.x

When I finish my 3 weekly chemo of EC I then got do 4 cycles given 3 weekly Carboplatin. And weekly paclitaxel has any body else had this and how do your body hv time to recover if your haveing chemo every week.😪

I finished my last nightly injection last night and this morning I feel like some one has kicked me in the back. I rang my emergency number and they said to just take paracetamol. Is this the norm just happens after last injection and does the symptoms last long or just for today. As was starting to feel a bit normal. X

Week a go tomorrow I had my first chemo session. But where I thought I would start maybe feeling ok. I feel like I'm drowning. I'm so tired and then get light headed. And then this horrible feeling like I cant cope and I just cry and just want to go bed and sleep but I cant. I feel so cross with my self I'm coming up 60 and I keep telling my self not to be stupid and buck up. But I had this feeling.

I start chem next week after finding a lump 4 weeks ago. I meet my oncology consultant Tuesday. But I came out with so much in my head but I really didnt or couldn't take any of it in. As so now I feel stupid going to my chemo appointment with not really understanding what treatment I'm having. I was given some literature to read but it different to what I thought I was having . Also because I'm stressing out is it ok to take my Rescue tablets before I go , there herbal but they do help me become less stressful. Sorry if this is a bit garbled.
