Each Thursday we run a live chat session from 9-10pm, there is an expert breast care nurse and a trained facilitator present to run the session. To join live chat you will need to be registered on the forums. Then go to: https://breastcancercare.chatjet.com/bcc/index.html when the session starts to join the discussion. Hi everyone Starting in 2008 Breast Cancer Care will be providing Telephone Support Groups (TSGs) for those people with an increased risk of developing breast cancer because of a significant family history. Family History TSGs will be staffed by genetic counsellors & BCC nurses. The groups will focus on different aspects of family history & the following 4 groups are planned: * Gene Carriers who have had breast or ovarian cancer * Living as a gene carrier, but have not had breast cancer * Under 40 with a raised risk - never had breast cancer * High risk - no gene identified/unable to be tested - never had breast cancer If you would like to know more then please contact the helpline on 0808 800 6000 Best wishes Ann Interactive Services Manager ... Hi forum members If you have secondary breast cancer, that is breast cancer that has spread to another part of your body, perhaps you would you like to come online and talk to others in the same situation? Every Tuesday we run a live chat session from 8.30-9.30 in the evening. There is an expert breast care nurse and a trained facilitator present to run the session. If you have secondary breast cancer and would like to join then you need to be registered on the forums.
