Helen i got nystan liquid for mouth ulcers it was really good, they told me to use difflam just if my throat was sore.Not that it will help you now but i got calcium folinate tablets to take 24 hrs after chemo and i haven't had mouth ulcers since. I had 4 Epi had hair loss very thin on top had to wear wig as i looked bald.I looked into the cold cap but found information that it decreased the chances of the chemo working there by 5% onc nurse didn't recomend it.i would say check out the internet on how effective it is before you make a decision. On CMF now it starts to grow back as soon as you stop Epi it grew quite quickly for me. Hope this helps. ... View more

Pauline hope your getting through this and feeling better. got cold,mouth ulcers,fungal infection the last two are starting to clear but had to get prescriptions. Tired but think it all due to cold . Hi all south american visitors left after 5 days now had good old birminghamn (england) visitors here for a week they are leaving tomorrow had a good time. Got some side effects since change to CMF mouth can't take any hot drinks or spicey food feels if my mouth has been burned. Got fungal infection at very top of leg was thinking by product of chemo but doc says no could be due to sweating, so first time in life get infection there when on chemo? After last epi got bad reaction on soles of my feet skin was just peeling away as if you had got sunburn was prescribed diprobase it is very good. I am ok for next tuesday could i suggest anyone that has to cancel that has said they will br there please post on here on tuesday or what ever day is decided morning so we know who will be there and who could be running late so we would wait for them ... Lulu could you find out if you are definetly on one every 3 weeks for cmf and why you are not on the 2 a month, as I have also been told 2 a month. I was told they do this because the side effects of cmf are bad.thanks ... View more

Hi just quick note can do thurs 11th, my arm i just raised above my head when watching tv or lying on the sofa put my arm behind me it stretches the cording but when you do to much (as in use it) it plays up and needs to be exercised more, my wrist has started to get very tight. ... View more

got result of biopsy scar tissue.went to see surgeon about wound he said all ok asked how i was i said so so as i had found out type of cancer i had he aked me what that was i told him invasive pleomorphic lobular carcinoma he and the bcn nurse body swerved the answer,got a call 3 hours later my first chemo on monday had been canceled by the surgeon he wants my files reviewed. My surgical bcn is to phone me on monday so hopefuly i will find out why he cancelled but i won't know what they are going to do until the case is looked at on wednesday by the consultants ...
