Hi all, Hope you all doing okay? Lisa - Bless you, I totally know what you mean with TAX its got me aswell!! Glad you got the Dr out, hope you start to feel alot better very soon. Lizzy - We are entitled to a good cry, believe me I have had a few over the last few days, it all gets abit too much and takes its toll, sending ((hugs)) to you x Well this TAX is doing my head in!! I ache all the time, getting odd pains in different places, in my right breast and armpit where I had lumpectomy/ANC and in my left breast, neck, legs, arms everywhere and I am worrying myself silly!! Seeing my Onc on Wed, need some reassurance I think!! I have been thinking whether you get scanned again ie: CT and Bone to see if things are still okay?? Hi Everyone, Sorry I haven't posted for a while, phew the TAX took its toll abit and also my broadband has been playing up!!! The first couple of days after TAX I felt not to bad, then Saturday I felt rough and spent most of the day in bed apart from a few trips to the bathroom... Thank you all for your concern and support, I feel abit better today, although I am very achey, and SE very different to FEC!! I hope you are all doing okay? Hi all, Hope you all had a lovely Easter x Lisa - hope you are okay? And just busy enjoying the sunshine : ) Lizzy I to hope you are okay and feeling better? Sal - the temperature has certainly dropped from the weekend, hope it picks up for the Royal wedding! Well had my pre chemo check today, 1st Tax tomorrow!!! Hi Lainie, Rabbit all you like you are entitled to... Welcome, but sorry you have a reason to post on here. Waiting is the worst bit, once you have a treatment plan is does get easier. I am 34 and was diagnosed in Dec with a Grade 3 invasive ductal carnicoma, I had a WLE with clear margins and a sentinal node biopsy, one of the nodes contained micromets of cancer therefore I had to have a full clearance of nodes which resulted in 2/22 nodes contained micromets. The operation was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Your doing the right thing by keeping busy and once you get a treatment plan it does get easier, try not to google as I made that mistake and scared myself witless, alot of the information online (apart from this site and other well known cancer sites) are out of date, treatment for breast cancer has improved so much over the years. Hi longlashes, Sorry you have a reason to post on here, but rest assured you will get alot of support from others in the same situation. Oh its so horrible isn't it the waiting is the worse sending (((BIG))) hugs to you. I am 34 and was diagnosed in Dec and I am half way through treatment. I really understand about your son I have a 20 month old daughter and its all I think about. It does get a little easier once you have a treatment plan and you know what is going to happen. Please rest assured that the cancer grows very, very slowly and the pains you are getting could be anxiety as you know its there. A core biopsy is when they insert a needle directly into the cancer to remove a solid mass which they then send for testing, I can't honestly remember if I got told from the biopsy or after the lumpectomy what grade mine was or not it is abit of a blur, the stage is based on whether it has spread to lymph nodes etc... but im sure your consultant will explain more to you. The treatment for breast cancer has improved so much over the years. Please keep posting on here, this site certainly helped me at the beginning and still does now. Hi All, Lisa - please try not to worry, the same thing happened to me I received a copy of my pathology report thru the post and it said 'Vascular Invasion' needless to say I panicked, I spoke to my Surgeon at the time as I was so scared and I hadnt met my oncologist at this point and my surgeon said that it means it has attached to the blood supply so I had visions of cancer all in my blood, and he said that it didnt mean that I had cancer all round my body just that it had made its own blood supply and that I was having chemo to mop up 'if' any stray cells. Hi Liz, I have had a constant runny nose (like a tap) and eyes since starting Chemo (fec) just due to start (tax) I spoke to my GP about it and he said it is very comman side effect cause the chemo attacks all our bodys defences which causes this to happen I have also had a sore throst and cough. Hi all, Hope you okay Lizzy? Hope to see you post soon xx I have also indulged in Fish and Chips aswell whilst on Chemo but have avoided others, dont think you can go to wrong with fish and chips really! Has anyone really gone off foods since being on chemo? It is weird but its like when I was pregnant with my daughter it only usually lasts the 1st week of chemo?? Lisa - you be careful with them rose bushes, bless ya Talking of work my Oncologist has said no to me going back to work untill I have finished Chemo? My work place are okay, but I need to speak to them about dates etc... yet of my last chemo.
