Hi Della..ladies... just joining this thread as a 'newbie' ..it has not taken long from diagnosis to now get lung mets!! I am about to start Capecitabine along with 12 rounds of radiation..instead of the original 25...gawd i hope this works..it has only taken 3 months to go from 2 tiny nodules..to now having 10 larger ones..my tumour doubled in size ..just before surgery...I'm Metaplastic..Trip Neg ..Spindle Cell....i think just having breast cancer was more than enough without the extra's.. Hello ladies ..can i ask a question please? Firstly when i went for my mapping ..they seemed a little concerned that i still have fluid in the mx ..also it is bright red..and when they tatooed near the breast bone..i nearly hit the roof..and its still red and angry...i am wondering how i will cope with the radiation AND...the new chemo...2 weeks on ..and 1 off..also apart from it attacking the hands and feet...what happens if ...i need to go for number 2's whilst on the rads table..the runs is another side affect...then if my temp goes up in the night..this time i will have no transport.... Hi ladies.....I got BAD news today....i now have defo got cancer in both lungs ! So now a stage 4.... I will not be having as many rads ..just 12 alongside oral chemo called Capecitabine...if that doen't work then 12 Taxol..and thats it!I still am fairly numb..i haven't taken it in yet! and i went in my new 'lucky' leather jacket...and whipped the wig off on my way there..in the taxi...i feel so much better now ..as i do have some hair! But the jacket wasn't 'lucky' in the end ..was it? lol My mx isn't looking too good..well thats what the rads team thought! Dulcie xxxx ... View more

Hi Everyone xx Thanks for asking..i had my CT scan yesterday..it seemed a bit different to last one...and i picked the wrong vein saying it was ok..when it wasn't! It was SO warm in the scanning room..i just whipped my wig off and they all grinned as i put my pure silk mask on! She said later do you want to take it off now that we are taking the needle out! I said thats partly why i'm wearing it ..LOL............. I pee'd myself in the taxi home! I didn't know till i came in the door..it wasn't a lot..but NOT very ladylike! I get the results next Tuesday..then 'mapping'? 2 hours later..then OH has a 4.30pm appt at ..another hospital! At least tomorrow we have a day off! I had a small cancer on my temple ..so went today to start 'freezing' it off! Waiting too i didn't know what cording was ..till i got it..all down the inside of my arm..and the exercises are a must! But i haven't been doing them...and watch swollen boob for build up of fluid...i have had mine drained 3 times and i'm taking strong antibiotics...I might ask you about the Taxol next week..but i hope i DON'T have too! I would love to come in November ..and if OH and i are not in 'treatment'..i might try for a late booking! Did you manage to get single rooms? Bettie my hair is now starting to grow..more so at the back.white with some black edges...i'm gonna look like a 'skunk' at this rate!
