Hi leilac I was diagnosed back in July, and we all understand how you can feel like the bottom just feel out of your world , I'm going in for my second chemo next week, and yes its doable when you get past the first week. Agree that you shouldn't read any other site a then this and Macmillan as there is some really scary crap out there so I would not read it. HI Soots OH no your not having a good experience re sleep, Ask the macmillan nirse for a relaxtion CD is really good and really helps me shut of before i go to sleep. I have been on sleeping tablets for years due to a awful knee injury, I can safely say that i have never vomited in my sleep. Luvvie - how it is awful to count the days lol, anyway bet your now feeling quite good, in a chemo way like i am. Hope your hair holds out for your party, mine is going and sore unfortunately. Hope that your treatment doeasnt give you the vomit fest we enjoyed after our first treatments. WIll be thinking of you next wed and thinking of everyone else whos due or starting. Hi neuromancer, Again the best advice is to sit back and w as it to be asked, be prepared for the grumps, random tears but most of all the sleepless nights to support if she has the side effects of vomiting. I have had a similar experience, I was diagnosed back in July at the age of 30, we we all so shocked, any way after the apt with the breast surgeon I was sent back to pre op to get info for operation, so I'm sitting in the very specific suite for beast cancer, completely pale and my partner who had burst into tear s looking red faced, and a lady said as there were no seats, excuse me can you move so I can sit down I've got breast cancer!! ! Hi Mandy, I had to shave mine yesterday as so sore, I struggled as well as my hair was half way down my back at time of diagnosis, I have since had short hair and now shaved, bless my amazing partner who always saves the day and said I look like Natalie portman, anyway you will feel better promise. Hi That's okay glad you had a lovely time a year the beach, def need to stay strong and you will find so much help on here, Have a look on the starting chemo in August blog you will find it very useful. Hi all Sian yes was donperidone lol our version of Moet, hope they get it sorted for you and you not as sick x Luvvie (Sarah), I know totally made me re think everything, but unfortunately I'm not allowed at work til I finish my treatment, but have made a decision with my partner not to work full time again, luckily I should be able to do this glacially, ive just supported him through mature uni, hope your not too lonely, but must be niCe to have to just think about you for 5 mins, buy a book and maybe read 50 shades? ?anyway your never alone were all here if you need a rant or anything, I just take the dog out and throw the ball lol, Everyone enjoy this bank hol weekend and hope you put her out try I enjoy the sun Hugs Victoria xxxx ... Hi SMC (Sian) Thank you for words of support, hope it does get better, in regards to sickness, I had to ask for mine to be changed, it might be worth mentioning my drug above as it has worked wonders, also have been told top drink lots of water days before and during chemo, and a final one from my chemo nurse ask then took slow the delivery and give you more flush?? Hi annadess I was dx with grade 3, 3cm tumor, hormone positive and her 2 neg, I had no lymph node invasion, I was told one because of my age (30) and because of the grade I would def have chemo, for me its a must, I prob would have even asked for it to control this nasty beat!! Well done Mandy for shaving your head, My 3 girls am so sorry you have been so poorly, hope you go better with the next one, June I hope they fitted your pic line for you, I have a Hickman line and it is so easy, Smc glad your out and about with family, Had a very interesting meeting with my onc nurse, as I hit Rock bottom during my first week of chemo, apparently they were waiting for it as they considered me a ticking time bomb, I was a 30 year old very career driven lecturer and in my spare time worked in an emergency vets lol, any way my point is I never stopped and then wham I didn't kNow what to do for a week, so i just wanted to reassure people its normal to wobble (or stay in bed for a few days) as they say, and cherish the good days that you feel well!! Hi all, finally able to post again, now 10days post first fec, first few days very bad with complete foggy head, couldn't even focus on the television, anyway check with the nurses if you feel sick as they have been amazing and changed by anti sickness to donperidone, sounds like a champagne I know and to me it is lol, hope everyone coping OK, not really looking forward to next one but need to look forward. Hi all Luvvie can understand we all have wobbles esp me today as had my Hickman line fitted and didn't enjoy t he exp which resulted in me bursting in to tears as again finally sinking in which esp as everyone keep saying how shocking it is that I have bc at 30! The ear y need to come on here! Smc 78- i made similar decision as had my gorgeous curly hair chopped from halfway down my back into pixie cut, also took my wig and hairdresser and she Sorted mine to!a lovely hairdresser we hich made exp bearable, have my first chemo wed but lots of trips for my line flushing at weekend Good luck to all, wobbles all round today Vxxxx ... Hi Vodcasue, Thank you for replying and giving tips, am sorry to hear you have secondaries, hope your chemo goes well again, My Hickman Line goes on Friday and my first treatment is next wed, have made the decision on discussion with lots of people to have my pride and joy my goergeous long ginger curls to be chopped of Thursday. Hi all, Had my finalise of my treatment today and have to have a Hickman line put in? Have heard mixed information about the procedure, hilariously I'm the worst person in the world to have injections (you would think as an emergency vet nurse) I would cope lol, anyway he also told me I would have daily injections for a week after treatment. Has any one else been told this or had it? Getting stressed now thought I would about the surgery but now finding everything hard especially as at all my appointments people look, at my mum and call her through for them. Hi all, Another chemo buddies here, I was diagnosed in June with idc grade 3, 3Cm adenocarcinoma I have had WLE and due to start chemotherapy in August, again on discussion with my Florence nightingale (my bcn) I have decided not to have the cold cap. Hi Lydia, Thank you for replying yes ihave had surgery a WLE 2 weeks post Wednesday, I am to have chemo, Rad and anti hormone therapy, I am with the oncologist again Wed to finalise the treatment regime. Unfortunately as it was s a grade 3 I have been told I will be having the bigger cycles of all treatment,will know more on wed. I hope you won't mind if I ask you any questions? Hi Sian, Again its not really nice having to Come on here but the support given from everyone is amazing I was diagnosed with grade 3 invasive bc, I am 30 and it was a total shock. I am coming to terms with it all, again I had no option i n of freezing eggs or tissue. I was oestrogen and progesterone positive her2 negative, I will start chemotherapy in the next few weeks.
