I had my mx in August and am the same very hollow and must admit it does show at the top even with the proper bra and prosthesis I wear a little cami with lace at the top under things with a bit lower neck and then it doesnt show as much just a little bit at the top but I dont think people notice, it is because I know it is there,,and I dont think you are being silly I felt the same. I went to my Dr on the Monday and was told within a fortnight and the hospital called me Tuesday morning with an appointment for the next day Wednesday so was only a couple of days,as Cathie as said they have to see you in 2 weeks better than having to wait ages,wishing you all the best, Celia.x ... Hi when I had my MX and SNB in August I was asked if I was wearing any nail polish as a matter of fact had taken it off before I went so obviously there must be a reason, I came home after 2 days with drains in and the district nurse came for 4 days then took them out, hope this is some help and all the best for Friday, Celia.x ... Sorry to hear about your Mum, I had a mastectomy 5 weeks ago and can honestly say I have had no pain or discomfort at all, it is such a pity that your Mums friend as scared her so much as I am sure she is the exception and not the norm as you have read on here most ladies have found that it is not as bad as expected. Hi curlylol I understand how you feel about the holiday I am going away but only for a long weekend and they said they can work round it, I was originally told I would not need rads after my mx and when the bc nurse rang she said the results were good and I did not need rads only hormone therapy then when I went for the appointment for results they had changed their minds said the margins were close and rads was recomended,hope you can get something sorted out , good luck.
