Hi, have just found this thread and wanted to say I know how difficult it all is as my partner walked out on me 3 days after my first op in Nov 09. Let him keep coming backward and forward for 9 months and then found the strength to say no more. It was very difficult and his treatment was abhorrent. He told me I was making him ill because of everything I was going through, I kept away from men for a while but met a guy in February and have been seeing him since. Hi Staff, there are a group of us who meet at Meadowhall every few weeks for a meal and a chat. Think the next 1 is 5th July but not totally sure. hi ladies, well it has been a very busy weekend with Take That on Friday and Olly Murs last night and a house viewing in between !! Take That was amazing and I was so lucky being able to swap my tickets with a good mate as I was supposed to go on 11th June which i wouldn't be able to do now as it is 2 days after my surgery. We didn't get home till 3:30am so were shattered. Carl insisted on driving us as he knows how exhausted I am so at least Mary and I could sleep in the car. Got up at 8:30 Saturday to tidy the house before the viewing and the hoover stopped working. £75 later I had a new one and managed to get the house spick and span but don't think the viewer was serious. He was only here for 10 minutes !!! So Olly Murs last night and he was very good but not a patch on Take That though we enjoyed it. Thank you, you are such fantastic ladies. My ct scan is on Tuesday afternoon but don't know when the operation will be. I guess they have to wait and see the results of the ct scan to be sure exactly what they are going to do. Trying to stay positive but have been very low today. Not told the kids yet but will probably tell Adam over the weekend. Won't mention to Glen and Mary until I know exactly what I am dealing with. Did get some sleep last night but think it was the volume of alcohol I had consumed !!! Have already said it on facebook but just wanted to wish "our baby" Vickie the very best of luck on sunday. so the results, not sure if it is good or bad. Cancer hasn't spread to the bones but has spread and have a tumour under my arm, same side as last time. CT scan and then surgery. Twice in 18 months doesn't bode well and I am so scared ... View more

Hello everyone, we are back from our wonderful holiday now and had a brilliant time although think Heather was there in spirit as had a few mishaps !!! Mary left her phone in the taxi from the airport. Managed to contact them and they brought it back but it cost me 40 dollars then she had a really bad tootheache so had to see the ship doctor and she had an abcess on it that was 112 dollars. Got up on the last morning and Mary wanted some trousers ironed, iron wouldn't work although had the day before !! Landed back in Manchester at 8:30am to be met by Adam and told that Glen was in hospital as he had taken an overdose so spent all day yesterday there. He is being discharged later today and will be coming back here. He split up with his girlfriend 3 weeks ago and is really struggling coming to terms with it. I nearly cancelled the holiday but Carl insisted we went and he looked after him here. That man is a star !!! Will try to look back over the posts in the next few days but it's all a bit mad here at the moment with 2 suitcases of dirty washing and a very empty fridge and freezer so will be busy. Have got bone scan tomorrow and then all my results next Thursday so a difficult week ahead until I find out what's going on in that manky body of mine. Sending my vf lots of hugs and love. Right you cheeky lot how dare you arrange my wedding without telling me !!! Sorry for being quiet but have had a pretty crap few weeks health wise and I was being an ostrich !! Am waiting for results of 2 biopsies as there are suspicious cells in my already manky boob and also having to have a bone scan as suspicious blood test results. Bone scan 6th May results of scan and biopsies 12th May Right that's it nothing more about my health !! Glen and Ruth are on the verge of splitting up so have been trying to deal with that too. Mary and I are off to America and the cruise on Tuesday (against my consultants wishes but sod it) so won't be around for a couple of weeks so sending you all early Easter wishes and hoping that you are all doing OK. Carl is still very much in my life and has been brilliant with me being ill again and YES he has asked me to marry him despite him not finding the tortoise. Early days yet but he is a lovely guy and of course you are all invited and the colour scheme will be blue so get looking for frocks, fascinators etc etc Hen weekend at Maria's sounds just the thing. Maria where would we fly into ?? Carl has given me a teddy wearing a blue tie which I have to take on holiday with me to remind me of him !! I only had a quick flick through everyone's posts as Sandra grassed you up on facebook to me so apologies that I haven't sent individual posts When I get back from holiday I will set up a sponsor link on facebook for race for life as Sandra is nagging me but please don't feel you have to sponsor me as I won't be able to sponsor everyone I know that is raising money or I will be bankrupt. Obviously our baby Vickie is an exception as well as exceptional !!! I will try to get back on before I go away but it's manic here at the moment.
