Hi quality, I was diagnosed with liver mets a couple of weeks ago so I am still feeling pretty frightened. Starting taxol on Friday . Great to hear that you are having successful treatment with Cape . All the best, Liz x

Morning ladies, I have my first taxol date, next Friday . They are going to do the first one via the veins as I need a referral from my consultant to have a portacath done. Hopefully I can get an appt ASAP. I have asked to have the cold cap so I hope that is a success too! Feel really really tired today, going to keep my feet up I think. Love to all Liz xx

Hi ladies, have reached the start of another week, with liver diagnosed and more chemo to have when told on Friday , I am feeling a little bit better but it comes up like a physical bang in the chest when you don't expect it! I have rang the hospital to see if I can get a line in before any treatment begins, it not will they just go for the veins and do it another time? I feel restless to get on with the taxol now! Mixed feeling of dread and wanting to start killings the b********s! Hope all are doing ok. Liz xx

Thanks EJ! I am going to go for it ! I shall ring consultant on Monday and try and get it done before the first round is set up. Anyone had the chemo that is injected straight into the liver? Or surgery ? I have a friend who , I know is doing it for my benefit but is bombarding me with different things that he has researched. He lives in Prague and has asked if the proton therapy was any good for me. It is sooooo difficult as I know he is worried about me but it's making me stressed out ! Anyone else with friends or family lke that?! Much love Liz xx

Morning ladies, My consultant said I could have a 'portal'? Up in my chest so they could admin drugs better. Veins bad! Anyone had one of theses? I must have got some sleep last night but am wide awake and the brain is not stopping, isn't it awful. Love to you all Liz xx

Hello nicky and Helen , thank you so much for you quick response. I think I remember you nicky when I was diagnosed 4 years ago when I got such help when I was a new case. Your words are so helpfull I find it so emotional that you ladies are all here giving advice when you have trouble your selves . I hope you are all coping and perhaps when I am in freighting mode , soon I hope! That I can ask for help with side effects ect. With much love to you, Liz xx

Hi ladies, Feeling rather down at the mo. When I saw my consultant a month ago yes asked me to have a blood test to see how my markers were doing. She rang me back after a few days and said they have doubled since June and sent me off for bone and CT scan last week saying that she would see me today when I went to.get my densomab and falslodex injections. Disappointment when I got there as she had not booked me in and she had no time to see me!!! I made the receptionist email her and she called me while I was in the hospital to say she could see me Friday. With the results. I don't think they realise the stress of waiting for results. I am also feeling a bit rough with tiredness, nausea and lack of appetite although I do eat and I am never sick. All this and my markers up , feeling like it isn't going to be positive news with my scan results 😞 I thought it maybe calcium in the blood making me feel like this but they came back ok. Not a good day! Hoping you all are keeping as well as poss. Liz
