Well for me I'm having bone scan on Friday & the PET /CT scan .. my oncologist was more concerned about my broken ribs.. 6th in 3 yrs .. and the agony in lower spine on examination... so sorry Blonde 123 to hear your diagnosis ... keep focusing on the advances every day that are being made . sending you and your babies warm hugs .. just remember our LUNCH ! Xx

Very tired .. both haematologist & biochemistry department that my gp contacted said "Liver metastasis " must be ruled out .. Feel sick at the thought ! Xx

Hi ladies I'm wondering whether anyone has been diagnosed with liver mets having had normal liver function blood test results? I was originally diagnosed stage 3 Lobular in 2008. 16/24 lymph involved .. I'm back seeing my oncologist on Monday after pain in liver area .. many thanks .. Bethy xx

Hello... I was diagnosed in 2008, aged 44yrs.... With stage 3 invasive lobular 8/8 hormone positive,her2 neg,with 13/24 lymph involved. I had a lumpectomy, full axillary node clearance ,chemo & radiotherapy.. I have now done 8 yrs of Tamoxifen ( tried Letrozole for 6 months following a hysterectomy but couldn't stand the side effects). I feel extremely fortunate to still see my BC surgeon & oncologist every 6 months & any twinge is fully investigated. Xx

Following the bone scan , I t was reported that I have 3 broken ribs! I was sent away to rest ( been doing so since Feb ) ..and if no improvement by the beginning of August an MRI. Aug will be 6 months of pain, I have been in touch and I'm returning on wed... x

Thanks for this Helen . I finally had the Bone scan last Friday & have an appointment for the results at Royal Marsden on Thursday. I am still in pain - worse at night and praying all will be ok. Hope you get good news .. let me know xx

Hi everyone, not been on this site for several years but am hoping for some advice. Originally diagnosed 2008 with lobular bc. I had lumpectomy & full axillary clearance 4/22 involved. Chemo & radiotherapy. All had been well until February this year when I have had increasing pain in my ribs on bc side. .. wakes me at night.At the end of March I visited gp who ordered a standard X-ray. Then I visited my oncologist who ordered a CT scan... this has come back as inconclusive! So now I am to have a bone scan. Is this normal? How can a CT scan be inconclusive? Really appreciate your knowledge , wonderful ladies... thankyou xx

Forgive me for intruding into your friendly supportive chit chat but I am wondering if any of you lovely ladies were diagnosed with Bone Mets in the arm? I was originally diagnosed in 2008 ( 16 LN involved ) and have been suffering with pain in my arm & elbow area for ther last 6 weeks. Waking me at night. I don't have lymphoedema. Had an Xray through GP , which showed nothing obvious so I have now been referred back to my oncologist ( last had a bone scan in 2008). I would really appreciate any insight anyone can give me!! I have had Breast Lymphoedema for 4 yrs. I used to wear a corsett that I was given by my MLD specialist, But rarely bother nowadays, I have also done keinesio taping. Flying makes it worse as does coffee and alcohol.
The Haven centre website have a very good area on Lymphoedema and exercises that really do help.

In 2008 I had a lumpectomy,full lymph node clearance ( 10/17 affected) chemo & radiotherapy and have been on tamoxifen for
4 + years . I am still monitored every 6 months. I have a Breast MRI sca ( lobular shows up on MRI but not mammogramm) & a mammogram at the first 6 months and the second I have my tumour markers taken. Interesting my oncologist is at The Royal Marsden and not where I was diagnosed or treated.

Yes, my oncologist at Royal Marsden has said I will be on it for 10 years. I was diagnosed in 2008 aged 44yrs and was perimenopausal . I have taken Tamoxifen for 4+ years now and was really looking forward to the end. However, I have been told that for those with lymph node involvement and high ER levels (mine 8/8 ) its been proven to be of huge advantage.

I was diagnosed back in 2008 on MRI having had a lump that didn't show on Mammogram or Ultrasound. Lobular often doesn't. I now have a mammogram & MRI at every annual check.

Hi
I started Tamoxifen after chemotherapy which followed surgery. I then had radiotherapy. I have now been on it for 4 years.

I am 49 and was 44 at diagnosis. I was 8/8 ER +.
I have been taking Tamoxifen for 4 years now and was looking forward to just one more year. I am treated by Prof Johnston at Royal Marsden. Hospital. At my last check in april he announced that there is real proof that 10 years on Tamoxifen gives even more protection....I was not expecting that!

I have now been on Tamoxifen for 4 years. The first 6 months were absolutely awful,nausea,sweats and joint pain. But please stick with this wonder drug!! I know can truly say I have 1 hot flush usually around the same time each night,no joint pain or nausea.
