 hi olives, I started bleeding, quite quick and heavy, had the 2 week fast track appointment and all is fine. Nothing they can find, checked for ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer. Panic over. I do have cysts tho which they are keeping an eye on. 8 weeks later, now, its just happened again. I'm guessing it's the new norm of periods on tamoxifen but I've got another follow up appointment in 6 weeks so not too worried. Hope all goes well for you. Xx ... View more

hi i have broken sleep, achey joints, could fall asleep standing up im so tired, now i seem to have developed a sicky feeling. ive been eating ginger biscuits to take it off - have any of you hd this as a SE too? ive been on tamoxifen since sept 2013. always have same brand, nothings chnged, i just seem to always feel sick. angie xx ... hi chubbs ive been the same and i had all the sameas you and had tamoxifen for 18 months. i do take care not to scoff loads of cakes etc but to be honest i have gone up a size and stayed there. ive lived on lettuce and done ll the counting points etc and never got more that a pound or two off, so i decided bugger it, i eat pretty much what i want and bought some bigger knickers. im not going to make myself that miserable fighting a losing battle. I was never good at diets, so as long as i stay about what i am, im not doing any more of them. angie xx   ... View more

hi daisykins, such a shock the first time they tell you that you have cancer, cant imagine how bad it is to have it back again. like you say tho, chemo etc after your surgery, hopefully mop up any nasties. i had chemo and rads after my BC mastectomy and i'm going back now iwth gynea problems, 3rd scan next week in as many months so hopefully fingers crossed if they spot anything dodgy they can get it sorted quickly. hi cherry, i know exactly what you mean and i do much the same as you, it would be too harsh i feel to actually say that you feel nothing, and it is nothing isnt it, so i just go with the flow and do as i used to just for his sake. i dont want the whole thing blowing up into a big issue, because for me it isnt, but it would be for him. i do have 'yes' oil based lubricant, but to be honest its for my comfort at all times, not a sex aid. its so hard to be able to talk about this , i think he would find it even more difficult than i do! so thats why i just go along with it, it works for me. dont beat yourself up about it, do whatever you need to do. angie xx ... hi ladies ask about getting DIFFLAM mouthwash from your onc, its amazing. its also very expensive £18 a bottle sothey wont give if you dont ask. Also make sure you havent developed oral thrush, get it checked, it makes your corners of your mouth split and is sore. hi betty and lucy if you mean the end of treatment 'blues' i have to say i was in quite a state. this is how i ended up at the docs for citalopram in the first place. i had a bad time of feeling like i had been 'deserted' by ll the people who were supposed to make me better and that i was certain to get it back because no one was checking on me. i did already expect to feel a bit lost, but i was completely bowled over by the lack of support after treatment ends. thank goodness for this site and the people on it. all good now though. angie xx ... hi ladies, well week one of my diet included burns night supper and even after that i mnaged to lose 1lb so its a start. im determined to do something, ive been following slimming world diet but mainly trying to cut out potatoes and bread, had no chocolate and cakes. here we go, good luck angie xx ... hi lucy,  i had to go docs today and i asked about the citalopram and tamoxifen, he said over 20mg a day might interfere with tamoxifen but under that, which is our 20mg dose is fine. angie xx ... View more

hi kess, ive been on tamoxifen for a year and a few months. its the slow creeping up of weight gain that i found i didnt really notice until clothes were too tight etc. im hoping that this slimming world food is going to help me on the road back to slim and trim.
