Hi girls I also have shoulder pain. ( WLE & SNB in March and finished 15 rads 2 weeks ago). Every morning when I wake up it seems to be worse even though I am doing the exersises the Physio told me to. If I hold my arm in the same position for a long time it seems to get worse. Saw GP and she just gave me strong Ibroprovin jel thats not helping one little bit. On top of that I have a very sore and tender nipple,a rectangular rad burn under armpit just above a scar that was also burned so its red and sore and pain in the breast itself. The burn cream that BC gave is helping a little. I'm not due to see BN or ONC for another 4 weeks so it looks as though will have to put up with it all. I am not a happy bunny . hi Loz I,ve just finished all my rads and I'm glad I'm retired so I dont have to think about going to work cos I can just about to be bothered with the cooking and a little (very little) housework. I'm still having pain from the surgery(i.e. very tender and sore constant stand up nipple catching on everything I wear) but they are trying to fathom out whats causing it I wish they would hurry up as cant put up with it much longer. Hi all 15 of 15 finished yesterday, bone scan next week and 5yrs of letrozole. The letrozole is making me gain weight I think cos I have gained 2 or 3 lb every week for past 3wks. All blouses now too tight but that could be also cos boob is rather swollen as well as being red raw and stinging. Nurse gave me some Flamazine to put on seeing as now finished with rads. Well 15 of 15 rads over and done with yesterday. Handed in my 'Modesty Vest' and was given a tube of Flamazine for my very red and burning right booby told to keep taking codeine and paracetemol for the pain and would get another appointment with Onc in 4 weeks time Thank you & goodbye. I thought they would have had a bit more of a chat with me but no I am finished. 15days treatment, 1550mile total travelling and 5yrs of letrozole to come. Hi Sam I had my WLE & SLB on Mch 5th Had my CT scan 16th April and rads started on the 23rd April so 6wks between op and rads. I think if you ask them they will delay it by 2wks seeing as its only rads you are having and not chemo. I wish you all the luck Ann W xx ... View more

Hi southcoastbeachgirl Had 13 of 15 rads yesterday and boob really red and painful but not blistered yet thankfully but I have a really sensitive nipple that I cant even bear anything against it so have to resort to going topless inside the house ( luckily no one around to complain about that sight and I do keep the curtains closed) Radiographer gave me Flaminal ointment but not helping, just have to hope it doesnt last long. I understand about your long travel I have a 110mile round trip each day and its costing a fortune in diesel and parking fees but cant claim for that I,ve been told. Ann W xx ... View more

Going today for no 13 of 15 so nearly at the end of all that dreadful travelling. Very red and still sore boob and nipple even though BC gave me flaminal cream for nipple which hasnt worked. Hi Judy on 10 of 15 rads today. Have had sore boob since start but from op I think not from rads. I am seeing nurse today after treatment so I will inform her again. Will prob get the same answer as last time which is will go away eventually. I want a proper answer today cos the nipple area is VERY sensitive and sore and I cant even bear clothes against it. Hi everyone Had 9 of 15 rads today. Managing well up to now with them just a bit pink and hot for a while but 100% aloe vera out of the fridge seems to cool it down. Got some painkillers for the pain inside boob that I still have from surgery but doesnt seem to be helping. I am seeing nurse again on Tues after treatment so will tell her again. Hi katy I did get a 'modesty vest' supplied and on to 3rd session today. They gave me QV cream to use its a new one they have decided to use now. I asked them about the soreness I still have inside my breast from op and they said to see nurse at clinic next Tues so I'll have to put up with it till then but its very sore parecetamol doesnt shift it. ... Hi suzie and Lozz Had my 2nd of 15 rads today. Yesterday before my first one I was a load of nerves but now Ive found it wasnt bad at all. Now just waiting for all the SEs that Ive been told about. I bought loads of aqueous cream and E45 but they gave me a different cream QV its what they now recommend she says. Ive still got lots of pain inside my boob from the operation but my clinic app is not till next Tuesday so will have to wait till then to ask about it as no one else is able to tell me whats going on.
