Results in.....nothing nasty or surprising found on pathology of lumps and everything remains grade 1. No radiotherapy to spoil immediate reconstruction either.....Good news so far but was then told that due to 3 /11 nodes affected I may need chemo. So results in but again waiting for full treatment plan. I thought that came with the results. How naive of me. Still waiting! Will (hopefully) get my full plan tomorrow) On the upside I am very pleased with my reconstruction and found the surgery easier than the ANC. Thanks so much Sandy for your reassuring words. I had a left mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. The decision to have an immediate construction was a hard one . I took a gamble because all prior biopsies and tests showed that my cancer was of low grade . However due to having two small lumps in my left breast and 3 nodes affected( which are low grade on pathology results) I am boarder line for follow up treatment. My surgeon is very cautious and insists that until the final results are in we will not be sure. So fingers crossed for tomorrow.... I would hate the thought of radiotherapy spoiling my reconstruction and further surgery needed. You have really made me feel more positive about the Chemotherapy and will certainly join a thread if I need it. Hope this helps. I have 3 nodes affected and was given the choice of immediate reconstruction. I was advised that if I need radiotherapy it may affect my reconstruction but this is not always the case. I considered long and hard about my options and have decided to have immediate Recon as the positives outweigh the negatives. Not found any Methyl Parabens in Dove roll on or aerosol when checking.....it's what I use. Hope this helps . Anyone out there has any problems with Dove please let us know. Sorry just found some Aluminum in there so not sure. Thanks Janey ... View more

Hi Sally I was dx on 19 July with IDC in two areas also. This was found by routine mammogram and core biopsy. I had no signs or symptoms. I have just had an sentinal node biopsy with ANC as 2 nodes affected. I get my results tomorrow. I have a mx planned soon. Its all so scarey and my mind is in a turmoil...the ladies on here are fab and have helped me cope. Thank you for your support. I really don't want to wake up with no boob but hate the thought of undergoing more surgery afterwards. I thought initially I could live without a boob but not too sure now. I never had any symptoms and will miss my left boob desperately cos its never given me any indication anything was wrong. My cancer was found on mammogram. Oh well will have to go through the grieving process. I will have to discuss this with my Bcn and surgeon.
