Hello Girls, I got out of hospial yesterday but was not realy with it until today ! 2nd op over. Bit more painful this time but they said it may be. Results on 22nd, all I want for Christmas is no more ops !!! Nooshka --I'll leave the others chat about sloshing My Husband has been fab as well, 2 young kids, own business to run, he has been to every appointment with me, dealt with my needle Phobia. Hi Sanytoes, I was very pleased with the Mamoplasty. It was a very neat job and healing so well... The consultant explained that the Analysis of the lump taken out shows that it has shattered(Sounded Dramatic to me!) What this means is that it has shrunk down with the Chemo from the original from 7.5Cm but as it shrunk it has left bits in the area it once took up. Feeling better about it than yesterday. The most frustrating this is that I am busy healing here and it will all be undone on Thursday ! Grrr hope all is well in Rads land. Hugs, BB ... View more

Hi All Rexi - Glad your enjoying your "mini break" It must feel like chilling after your house move the week before ! Good to hear people finishing Rads ... Sandy wa!! hoo!! before Christmas finish... I am doing fine and healing well but found out results today. My margins were not clear in two areas also 5 lymph out of 17 had Cancer. So I will be having the same boob op again next Thursday to try to get clear margins. Not the best day for us ... Hi ST, The consultant I had just put a drain in where I had my lumph nodes removed but none in the breast. It was in for 2 days only. As Sandy Toes said it varies from each one. In the hospital I went to they do not send you home with drains which was my main concern due to the kids. Suggest you check if your concerned.. Yes the close and real feeling... when someone said your operation with next week in the same sentence...thats when I realised it was real. Kind regs, Julia. ... View more

Hello girls , Had op eventually . They put in a wire before op to point to the marker ....as for the cold the anethatist decided the risk of having a cold is outweighed by the risk of delay . Cough hurts but glad it is done ! Results next Thursday. Doing ok so far . Hope to get out and home on Saturday. Tomorrow . Mum came to visit am and my lovely husband here now. .".... Lindylou . Hello All, Have not been on for a few weeks, just trying to get everything done for Christmas a month early before op on 1st Dec. 3 weeks since last Tax today... feeling fab.... Eyebrows - missing in action along with the lashes.Just a few strays. Head Hair - I have 9 hairs left at the front which have stayed with me through Chemo .... the rest is starting to sprout yipeeee !!! Congrads Rexi on your last Chemo.. Lorna ... yes the "I'm fine" rolls off my tongue quickly followed by "how are you?" I don't share except with a few close friends who realy want to know how I am, even then I only give them a summary! Hello All, Pam Great news your back Home and everything went ok. Next step done too. No sign of Gremlin is great news ! Sandytoes. I will need Rads so no imediate reconstruction. My boob is a little bigger and droops more than the other since the gremlin invasion so it depends how much smaller they have to make it. Had 29 questions for the Surgeon when I saw him but still not enough ! Never had a General Anasetic either. Had a bit more of a look about for theraputic mamowhatsit. It is basicaly a bit of recon while you have your gremlin removed. congrads to you on the body hair....a further step towards "looking normal" which I know I crave for. Katie - My hair has started to grow but my eybrows are almost non existant going to get some stuff in town tomorrow. Hello All Sorry to hear some of you are feeling down, I think we all have our ups and downs and hide away, mine are at night so the kids do not see me. A good cry always helps and a good laugh with lots comedy channel helps me get out of it. Pinkypam - hope yesterday went well and your well on the road to recovery. I had my last TAX yesterday, now just waiting for the Tax truck to hit for the last time. Was so looking forward to this poison... smiley, singing (badly) and did a little dance in the lift with Husband on the way up. Yes the Madness has come... Decision on op next week. I will still have the full node clearance but the Surgeon has given me choice (Ahhhh)on the Gremlin removal: 1.Wide local incision. will leave a hole in the top of my breast 2.Theraputic Mamoplasti (spelling)- Will fill in hole with my breast tissue and make this boob a bit smaller. 3.MX. They have said that due to the original size I may need further surgery if they can not get clear margins. Anyone else who has already had surgery had a Theraputic Mamoplasti. hi girls, Also following your discussions on Surgery I am in on 1st Dec for mine. Same questions as Rexi and more. One main question .. in addition to the removel of the Monster I am in for full node clearance. What does this mean exactly every lymph node you have or just the ones in the chest or just the ones on the right where I have the Monster... should have asked the surgeon but already asked 29 questions and this was not on the list till afterwards. Wilma the wig was worn throughout the weekend and I was treated like a "normal" person for a bit...felt good.... Hi all, No stats for me either. Did not know the monsters measurement until oncologist did a measurment after 2 FEC and happened to mentioned the original size after telling me it had shrunk. I just asked what the treatment was likely to be, climb one mountain at a time I think .. Also I agree with Sandytoes in that some stats a out of date, and also why add another worry ?
