Hello Girls. Mary M sorry to hear about the infection also sending you a hug. We all dread this after op. Ratina - Understand re Seroma , I tried to avoid it but ended up having it drained on Thursday. Did not realise there was so much there, felt a bit sore after but ok now. twinky I also have Rads starting soon. Had chat on Thursday Boob, armpit and Collar bone. Hoping to finish before April holidays when I have the kids and want to be able to do stuff. Fran - Glad you got some help ! I am a lucky lady, my mum came after each surgery and on the day of each chemo for a few days. Don't know how you can possibly do it without that help ! Di - Glad you got good results. For those "progressing" to Chemo -- I also dreaded starting it , into the unknown... just go with the flow and remember it is doable, For me my Gremiln shrank to almost nothing so imagine it zapping any bad cells still left there after surgery. Hello girls, Sandy cleavage toes !! -- wow hope you have the best holiday . What a lovely friend re the air miles. I am sure you will find a quiet spot to relax and enjoy every min. lorna, I just ordered Bras from the John Lewis web site with pockets one black one white. They are realy compfy so far and my softie looks ok in them. there are also some on line companies which my BCN gave me some books for. But want to wait for my fakie first. will send you a pm with the web sites for them. As for the brain .. Struggle to concentrate on anything and also struggle to make the simplest of decisions. Planning to go back to work in 2 weeks during Radiotheraphy. need the money too.. Spoke to onc Thursday about next steps- going for a Dexa scan next thursday to check for ostioperosis (?) my Grandma has it and my mum has meds to try to prevent it so just to check. rads will involve X boob area , armpit and neck but can not start till I am healed. Start Tamoxifen mid Feb. Then he sent me for a trip to the surgeon to be drained. Was a lot sloshy but trying to avoid the spikey thing. Hya ladies, TTM - Yes I will be having Rads once this has healed. as for why I have to have rads to be honest I don't realy ask... I don't know what Grade or stage mine is because it is nothing I can change. I have already had 8 Chemo's (4 FEC and 4 TAX) found out the original size of the tumours at my "end of Chemo chat" when they mentioned it. Hello All Hi Sandy -- sorry you have to join us but you are in the best place for help and support. I had my MX on the 12th. hope your recovering well. Sassy have sent you a pm hope it helps.... I had good results today. healing well..had 3rd and final operation my margins were clear ! Been buzzing since... Needed draining but that was it. Next step Rads for me ... because I had Chemo first. Fran seems confusing over what is going on when you get different messages how frustrating when your trying to take it all in. I don't ask for the details otherwise I would worry about something I know nothing about and can not change. I just ask what is next, what are my options, decide and get it done. Even found on here I did not know what people were taking about some times sent a few PMs to find out! Di - I have also found my notebook has been fab, every question, every drug I have taken and every treatment has been logged, side effect of Chemo etc.. Hello All Alanaa, re Drains - I think it is the way I wrote that !I had a drain initially but what I was trying to say is that I was released out of hospital without a drain! Kitcat- good luck for Thursday, the Drain thing depends on you. Re shower I also had a waterproof dressing and was told I could have a shower. singingbird - after the MX I also look down and find it kinda sad. The softy is good though. Hello All , Good luck to all those having surgery this week. Had a bit of a scare around delaying op due to bood counts ( already had Chemo) felt fine and full of energy but after chemo and 2 lumpectomies my body is not in best of health regardless of how I feel. I had my MX on 12th in the end. Back at home on the 13th. No Drains. Just now have the agonising week wait to see if I have clear margins for the 3rd time ....... not sure what is worse the results or the waiting... Welcome to those that have recently joined. BB ... Hi girls, Out of hospital today. Count was low but they went ahead with the op after boosting with an injection. It has been a busy 24 hours in the injection depatment my tummy is a pin cussion and ended up with 3 canula holes. Felt fine in the morning but started being sick after bloods. think it was just the needle phobia but they put something in the Canula to stop it... being sick kinda hurts.. Sandytoes inflated..... excellent great news... Pam wow finished fantastic... and a holiday next week... Katie, glad you enjoyed your holls SuperT hope you c cup seronoma starts to clear soon. hi gingerbud, Different again to you and your treatments but may help if you get the go-ahead to go. I was having Chemo every 3 weeks but did go on holiday to spain Majorca half way through my 8 sessions. Made the following arrangements before I went. -Checked with insurance- ok provided doctor agreed and I sent them a letter showing this. -Spoke to the place where we were staying and asked for a local doctor number, Hospital and how far it was to each. -Got a letter from the Oncologist which explained the treatments I was on and recomended that I had the int antibiotics for any infection and gave them an emergency number to call if they needed further advise. -Got a Spanish friend to call up and check hours they were open and if they could give int antibiotics at any time. She also translated the Oncologist letter into Spainish for me. -Obtained taxi number 24 hour to get me there if neccesary. ( translation of exactly where I wanted to go on a bit of paper as well) -took 2 different types of antiobiotics from the GP. Needed none of it !!! lucky me. I hope this helps. Hi Girls. Thanks everyone for your thoughts.. One week to go before my 3rd and I hope final op.. Did a full day of work today ( from home of course) felt good and dare I say it "normal." Both kids now back in School and Nursery. Bought some Bras with pockets for my fakei Hair is growing,I have short but "there" eyebrows now and eylashes are just starting to peep through. Lorna happy days half way there on the Rads. Finishing is not on my mind yet but I hate all the fuss made of me at the mo! funlady hope you get your surgery date soon . Holiday sounds great PAM ! always good to have something to look forward to. Sandytoes. - So Glad the specalist blew their theory away and you have some hope for the future. Your body is showing willing with your new years Day period too !!! Go and demand your money back the tests were not accurate, they did not have any expertise and they caused you severe stress. Great to hear talk about being "done" it realy spurs me on. Allthough my goalposts keep moving for the rads start I will get there and apparently will need less after a MX ?
