Hi all, Val- Yea iam numb under my arm still too,feels like a band around my chest some days,seems worse now iam on chemo. Had a day in bed yesterday felt so tired and yuk!My daughter down loaded a book to my kindle for me,its called "How i said Bah to cancer"BY Stephanine Butland.Ifound it a lovely book to read that i could relate to.I recommend this book to you other ladies to read. Lovely sunny day here in shropshire,had a drive up to village and did a bit of shopping-Funny how one day can hardly get out of bed and the next iam out and about. Morning ladies,Started to feel better then last night felt so ill.Stomach crowling like a bear,feeling sick,headache and bottom of my feet on fire?!!Hot flushes.Thought i had gone through the menopause last year,but oh no,its here again!! Hi ladies,Iam at last havin a good day and have got myself out of bed.I too have a weird sensation in my nose,not running,almost like when they give you chemo.Must be something to do with 3rd FEC. Morining ladies.Iam day 5 post 3rd FEC and feel like crap,megga hot sweats all night,but temperature ok.These injections playing me up more this time,feel achey from head to foot. Wish i could go to the loo,think i need a stick of dynamite. Sounds like some of you other ladies are havin it rough too. Put my wig on today,sick of been bald. Hi shropshire girls me again, Wondered if iam the only one who worries about the breast thats left.It seems to ache,have rang BC nurse who says my mamo was clear,can pop in if iam still unsure and she will have a look.Think this whole journey makes you so paranoid! On the brighter side have decided to go and have a look at rescue dogs with my daughter in the morning.Lost my dog about ayear ago and miss her so much.Thinking a dog will get me out of the house for lovely walks,when i get my energy back. Hi-Ruby i to have thought about applying for blue badge,i dont know weather its these injections we have to have,but i cant walk far at all,was always fit,went to gym and dance classes.But now have no energy at all.With havin to go for bloods weekly a blue badge would be a god send.often have to park so far from hospital,nearly had to get hubby to give me a piggy- back last time.Thank god for benches on route to entrance. Hi Ruby glad your FEC3 went ok,Ihad mine the day before you,so far feeling ok.Iam also on stronger anti-sickness drugs which seem to be doing the trick. I have lansoprazole for my acid,been on them a couple of weeks and they do help.chemo nurses said to try soda water,which helps to bring up wind. Beautiful sunny day here,wish i had the strength to do a bit of gardening,but enjoying watchin hubby do it. Hi DJ-would love to come to the next meet up,that would be gr8.yea i go onto 3 cycles of tax,rads,herceptin then another drug for 3-5yrs,which i cant think what the name is.x Rachael-Coffee sounds lovely,but may have to bring my manuka honey and just request hot water.Cant stomach,tea,coffee and milk is a big no!I noticed that you are waitin for your op,have you got a date? They were fantastic at PRH when i had mine,you will find it a breeze after the chemo and when you get given your falsies you really can not tell the difference. Love to you all Heather x ... HI Ladies,Have never posted on here but follow your postings. I too am from shropshire and live in a village called Broseley,its inbetween Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. I was diagnosed with BC in may,had MX of right breast also in may and started chemo 1st august,so iam a little behins you other lovely ladies. Had my 3rd and final FEC yesterday.Hooray!!! 1st two FEC knocked me about and ended up in RSH twice neutropenic.Have injections for 6 days after chemo,which i do myself,but still not keeping those cells up. I have now had my chemo slightly reduced as they feel its too strong.so far seems to have done the trick,dont feel so poorly.(touch wood) Get given so my tablets and injections in plastic bag to bring home after chemo,i look like some sort of bald drug dealer.LOL When you get home with them it takes you forever to figure out when to take what. Hi all, Bloods ok yesterday,so off this morning for 3rd and final FEC,Hooray!!!!So nervous. Saw ongologist and they are now giving me 10 injections to do instead of 6,gr8. Lavender lass,yea i have a bag ready packed after the 1st time going in at 3am and trying to think what you need and where to find it,not easy that time in the morning. Iam thinking of ringing up for some sort of relaxation stuff,some days finding it hard to cope. They are going to up my filgrastim injections to 10 days after chemo.Ithink its these that make me feel so rough. Hoping injections work this time. Thanks for your tips. Take care.Heather x ...
