Hi to all you lovely IA ladies.. i,m new to this forum site but so glad I came across it 🙂 I beg you to make me an official DAMN THATS ANOTHER NIGHT WITH NO SLEEP YAWN!! CLUB! member!!!
9 months now post op thought I was the only person suffering long term effects of BC (some friends just dont want to hear about it anymore so I dont mention it now or expect anyone else too..i,ve muddled through since R/Therapy finished can almost hear the comments Get over it and get back to work! so maybe a tad paranoid actually i,m not, that comment was said.. tho not in my presence.. was heartbroken when I was told as it came from a colleague where I work, very insensitive but it did make me close up on myself only 2 weeks after R/therapy finished 😞 )
I,ve always been a bit higgledepiggledy with sleep and my job does,nt help (Nurse) 7am start for 12 hrs a shift and now after BC my sleeping has suffered bigtime! I,m taking Letrozole and I know its a side effect tho knowing does,nt help it just seems to make it worse.. so yes I can sympathize with each and everyone of you Ladies who are in the same position.. cant sleep then wake up when you feel as if you have just dropped off cant get back to sleep when you do wake up be it for the loo or another dreaded sweat and your head manages to find everything and nothing to go over a million times...the list goes on, i,ve tried nightnurse liquid when i,ve got a shift the next day but its not a long term solution and sometimes does,nt work just leaves you feeling crappy for the rest of the night..I also got some Zopiclone from my Dr but as yet hav,nt tried it... in case it does,nt work.. How sad is that!! I think the best thing I,ve found is to get up and take yourself out of the situation thats causing you stress for an hour. Its better than tossing and turning and you would,nt be sleeping anyway so a cuppa and watch a bit of tv can help a bit! But not always as i,ve found when I,m still sat having my 3rd cuppa and its fastly approaching 6.00am and time to get a shower for work.... ANY ADVICE WOULD BE WELCOME but i,ve come to the assumption that if were all feeling like it and we,ve all tried the remedies and non of them work that efficiently then the very exclusive 2am insomniacs club seems a very tempting offer 🙂 my love to all you brave lovely ladies who like myself have found its not always the cancer thats the problem its everything that goes with it bless you all keep your heads up high we,ve been there and done it albeit not quite with the smoothness we,d like but very special people all the same..See you at 2 xxxx Doz
