Hi ,I've been receiving DLA and had renewal letter it does imply that it may stay the same or receive less or none at all and not sure special rules ,ie ds1500 will guarantee it either ! I am really worried that mine will stop as I rely on this quite heavily ,has anyone else managed to switch over from DLA to PIP with /without any hassle ? Regards Helen12 x ... View more

Thanks again , if I can get it signed will they switch it over the same has any one already claiming dla had any problems changing to pip? As if we don't have enough stress already worrying about this illness ,to then have to worry about the financial aspect !! Yes when you look ok I genuinely think they forget bout the illness and when I get down he moans that if I'm down then it gets him down too and HE struggles to cope so I'm not allowed the indulgence of feeling a bit sorry for myself (occasionally) !! Then I feel guilty that I'm a burden and so the vicious cycle goes on and I too am going to borrow the angry eyes !! Hi L D when I have scans I always ask how long for results and they say they report them the same day and my onc always knows how much of a state I get in so he tells me to contact his secretary as soon as I have dates for scans and then arranges to see me between 2 to 3 days after for results ! Maybe you could ask your onc if he could chase up results earlier . Desi ,it's tough enough having to cope on daily basis without the hassles of our men behaving badly too !! Hi ladies,desi really hoping that you will get good news and nothing untoward .jenny totally relate to thinking about something happening in your body and waiting for dreadfull news ,I have my scans next Tuesday and results on the Friday !! Feel sick just thinking about it keep trying to think of some other reason other than progression that causes this pain that just won't clear off!! When you all go for scan results do you always take some one with you or do you prefer to go alone ? It's so stressfull sometimes I think it easier to go alone but O H always comes he says so he can skive off work !! I have my 10 year off today with tummy bug so sat by fire and holding a bucket lol ! Hi ladies ,I haven't posted for over a week ,but have read your posts ,being as I'm new I don't feel as if I can just jump in and comment ,but relate to what you are saying .i have my ct scan week Tuesday an bone scan this Friday to check for progression ! Pain in my pelvis and back still pretty grim have been on arimodex for over two years now ! Not sure what the other options are ! Most of the time I'm pretty upbeat as can be but struggling at moment and when I read up about this cancer it's scary reading ! Thanks for sharing Nicky janette belinda and Helen ,yes it's so very true about not being able to offload on loved ones ,I find that pretty much have to stay upbeat in front of children and oh especially him as he can't cope if I'm feeling down he pretty much buries his head ,which I can understand .ive been on denosumab for 7 months and was wandering if any of you were on this treatment and if it has been having good results ? Thing with SBC is that so many people keep asking me if I'm all clear now as I look well and when I try to explain they look puzzled or rush off !! Thanks Carol and Janette I haven't really needed to take regular pain relief before so now this flare up has happend it's really knocked me for six , as I've been pretty fortunate not to experience too much pain it's led me to a false sense of security !
