Hi Wyn   That's excellent news - how exciting for you!!!!   I am doing ok after rads and no problem with my skin. I have horrible neck pain though and find it really painful to turn my head. I think this is because I had a lot of rads there and the radiographer said that the pain and stiffness would probably peak around now. Petal - I hope things are improving for you today. It's so disappointing that you didn't get the treatment you needed over the weekend.    SJB - sorry to hear about your dentist visit outcome. I went a few weeks ago and have 2 fractured teeth from the chemo, which will need to be sorted out once I am out of rads. Like you, I had horrible tooth pain particulary whilst on Tax.    6 rads done - this morning was fine although my arm has gone very stiff. Hi Wyn,   That's excellent news; you must be thrilled. I am so pleased for you and at least you can start to return to something approaching normality!!!   Rads are going ok - first week done and a third of the way through. Thanks ladies for all your kind comments.    I had my first rads today after Herceptin No 8. All went well - it was a bit uncomfortable with my arms up for so long but fine.    I have been given a tube of aqueous cream to use - can I ask how frequently I should do it? I asked today and the girl just said thinly, twice a day This is a different hospital to where I went for chemo/surgery, so I don't know the staff at all. Well done Petal on finishing rads 🙂   Wyn - many thanks. I did Race for Life and finished in 28 mins - ran all of it bar a sharp hill!  A lot slower than prior to diagnosis but hopefully I will start to get back to some proper training once the rads are finished. Hello Ladies   I hope you are all doing well - you are such an inspiration!   I had my radiotherapy planning yesterday - all seemed to go fine. I start my 15 treatments on the 21st July, so not too far away. Like Petal, I will have Herceptin until next year (every three weeks).    I met the husband this morning of a lady who has just had her first chemo for BC after a recent diagnosis -  a reminder of how far we have all come when I think back to when I was in her position.    Onwards and upwards everyone - the home straight now.    Jules xx ... SJB - well done on starting rads soon. I hope all goes well.    I am seeing the oncologist to get moving on rads on the 25th, but mine won't start until early July due to the problems I have had with the seroma. It's finally slowing down so fingers crossed. However, the scar line is quite red (not painful) - does anyone else have this? My physio doesn't seem bothered by it so hopefully it's just a healing thing.    I am back to running - I used to run regularly and train for marathons before BC but obviously haven't been able to do so, However, I have been out this morning for a half hour run and it felt great!  A bit of an odd right arm action as I can't swing it properly but who cares!!!   Have a lovely day everyone!   Jules xx ... Wyn - glad the first rads went well - fingers crossed it continues that way for you!   SJB - well done on the seroma - that's great news!   I had my 6th Herceptin yesterday and had the seroma aspirated for the 11th time. That will be the last, as the consultant wants to try and get the fluid to re-absorb so I can start rads. I am also having physio on my arm to get more movement back.    So - pretty good all round. Hi All   SJB - I have now had the seroma aspirated 10 times since surgery. My surgeon did it again this morning and said it will probably be another month until it stops completely. However, he is hoping that it will soon start to reabsorb so fingers crossed.    I am seeing my oncologist tonight about starting rads.................   Glad to hear everyone else is coming along well; it's just great when hair starts to grow back and you don't feel as rotten!!!!   Take care everyone   Jules xx ... Petal - the seroma is very visible - a build up of fluid where I had the mastectomy done. it feels squidgy and full of fluid and is uncomfortable, rather than painful.    I'm having my 10th aspiration later today and am also starting physio as I don't have enough range of movement in my arm.............   I hope everyone is doing well this week    Jules xx ...
