Hi Ladies,Ihad WLE surgery and sentinel node biopsies 3 weeks ago,Luckily i had a clear margin with no node invasion ,what i am concerned about is that my breast is still quite painfull and very lumpy ,should i be worried about all the hard lumps i can feel under the skin around my operation site?i am still bruised and in places still swollen .I see the oncologist next week so hopefully i will know what treatment i shall be having .Any thoughts or views on this would be very welcome.Thanks very much .Love Elliesx ... Hi Ladies, i have had my results from my WLE and Sentinel node biopsies ,it is good news and bad news ,the good news is that they got a clear margin and my lymph nodes were clear ,but the bad news is that it is grade 3 and not grade 2 they first told me .I waited for almost 9 weeks to have my op as the surgeon who i have great faith in couldn't do it sooner.I now wonder if waiting this long allowed the cancer to become more aggressive,any ideas on this please?I also have this thought in my head that cancer cells can infiltrate the blood vessel walls and spread this way.I don't know what my treatment plan will be yet i have an appointment with the oncologist on June 10th.I hope they do a fullbody scan as i am still worried that it has spread ,i have a wierd feeling in my left ribs which i had before they dignosed BC so i am worried that something else is going on .do they do this as  a routine test if you have the results that i have had does anybody know.? Hi Ladies,i had my op 13th of May ,home on the same evening.A bit sore and bruised ,but glad that i have started my treatment.The only thing that worries me is that i got my follow up appointment date today and it is for 22nd May ,that seems very quick as i thought it took 2 weeks for the tumour and nodes to be checked,My mind has gone into overdrive thinking that something must be very wrong or that they didn't get a clear margin .How long did you Ladies have to wait for follow up appointments .I would be very thankfull for thoughts on this ,Love to all going through this .Elliesx ... Hi Ladies,Well i finally had my op yesterday ,it has been a traumatic 2 months since first diagnosis of Invasive Ductal carcemoma,Grade 2 19mm tumuor.waiting to have this op.I had to go to a hospital quite a drive away for the Radio active injection on Monday ,Then yesterday i had to have the fine wire put into the tumour,i expect lots of you ladies had to have this done during your treatment,i was dreading this as i thought that they would use the mammogram machine ,they used this for the  10 biopsies and i found it to be really painfull (me being a whimp ) .I was very pleased they used the ultra sound machine to do it ,hardly fet a thing!Then went to the hospital where i had my op ,Heatherwood in Ascot,the treatment i had there was fantastic every member of the team were professional kind and very friendly. and the Ward was spotless .The Health service gets such a lot of bad press but i felt i had to put pen to paper as it were to sing their praises.Now of course i have the long 2week or so wait to get my future treatment plan,but as we say one step at a time one day at a time .Feeling a bite sore and spaced out today but i am sitting here in my PJs taking it easy.i am so glad that i am now on my way in my treatment ,as we all say the waiting is the hardest.Love Ellies x ...
