Hi kitkat, don't feel silly at all I'm currently awaiting my surgery for grade 3 idc tn. Which means chemo for me then radio as there are no other courses of action. I'm 31. My surgeon has said in a lot of cases the Breast doesn't end up looking to dissimilar so I guess we just wait and see. At the mo I'm thinking more about how to have my very long hair cut! I know that sounds trivial but I'd much rather donate it to a good cause than the bin and I'm getting uptight about the fact that short hair won't suit me!! Hi mummy02, I think your experience will entirely depend on your age & symptoms. I'm 31 in the uk and had a lump in the outer edge of my left Breast. I was called through to the u/s room where they did a quick physical exam followed by the u/s and a core biopsy. They did the symptomatic Breast first covering the lump & then the rest of the Breast & up into the armpit. They then did a quick scan of the other Breast. The core biopsy didn't hurt. They numbed the area waited a minute or so then took the samples (they took 3 from me). And it just feels like being prodded with like a pen or something. Hi Lilly, don't ever apologise for posting. It'll be about a week for them to be able to give you any results. I found people telling me "it's probably nothing" really hard when all I wanted to do was talk about "what if it's something" I think people try and stifle you because they want to feel like they are reassuring you and they are doing it with your best interests at heart. Believe me when I say they are just as worried as you are. My best advise is keep yourself busy. Go to work the time will pass much quicker than staying at home. The waiting really is hard. I too have pcos and we tried for our second for 3 1/2 years eventually receiving a little bit of a nudge so I also understand what a blow that would be to. Fingers firmly crossed for you both x x ... How did you get on today. I was in the hospital all morning with my 1 year old son for allergy & eczema testing. Just found out he has egg, nut, gluten & wheat allergies as well as eczema herpeticum so lots going on with that right now which is taking my mind off of me. Yeah but 4 boys!!! Wow! So you're already used to being run ragged. Yeah my beastly boy turned 1 on the 1st. He's really poorly at the moment with a skin infection so that's keeping my mind off of me. Still having them gives me a reason to get out of bed what with being jobless lol. Yeah I will keep in contact it looks like we may be going through this at roughly the same time I haven't got my surgery date yet but It'll be this month I should imagine, it will be within 31 days of the 5th November so possibly the start of December. I'm hoping that it's more November than December so I can enjoy christmas, my daughter being 7 gets delerious this time of year and my boy was only a month old last Christmas so it'll be nice to see him take it all in. Hi tanz, I was dx 22/10 with grade 3 idc triple neg. Due to some pain (feels like a deep bruise) I am experiencing in my upper abdomen (kind of under my ribs) I had an abdominal ct with contrast. Last week I got the good news that nothing untoward at this time has shown up on the ct but they will keep an eye on it and I've got to have further testing once my bc treatment is complete. I won't know about lymph node involvement until my surgery due in the next few weeks but so far from my mri they look promising. I do have blood vessel involvement in the Breast but they seem to this this is caused by the tumor effectively blocking the blood vessel as opposed to anything else. Please keep us updated. Hi Brewster. I got my dx 22/10 and found out last week that mine is also triple neg. Out of interest how old are you. I was told it's more common in younger people. I'm 31. I'm also having surgery first (awaiting appointment in the next few weeks) then chemo will start after Xmas once everything is healed sufficiently & radio therapy after that. My little boy turned 1 the weekend before last but he's a poorly boy at the moment bless him. My daughters main concern is me losing my hair at the moment. I'm so worried about her. It's tomorrow. Oh no that sucks. My friend has just had a couple of fibroids removed & one of her symptoms was bleeding. But all in all I bet it's just adding to your worry. Take care of yourself with so much going on and little ones do think about it can all get a bit much. Can anyone help you out with a bit of childcare so you can spend a bit of time away from them. I made the mistake of telling my boss face to face on the day I was diagnosed so I have no proof to say that i told them. But they have to live with the guilt every time they think of me, see a pink ribbon or anything to do with cancer. I will fight that fight when I'm better but it's a small business and my actions will have repercussions on the other people that work there so I'm still in two minds at the moment it wasn't their decision to sack me. It was just a massive gut blow. I'd been so strong and positive about my diagnosis & beating it but then loosing my job to boot just was the straw that broke this camels back. I think for me it was the thought that with the support of my family I know I can get through anything and then suddenly I had no way to support them back. I'm a very proud person. but you know what if I fight them they will probably get angry and they don't deserve anger they deserve guilt & knowing that they will have to live with their decision and I know that sounds petty but hey ho x x ... My employer didn't say it was due to my illness. My 3 month trial period (which i knew nothing about as I hadn't even been given a contract to sign) had come to an end and it "wasn't working out"........the words get out of jail free comes to mind. I do have cause for tribunal but I've only got one fight in me at the moment. My husbands friend works for a local newspaper who want to cover it and the editor of the daily mail has contacted us as well.
