Thanks sea breeze. Yeah I was informed id get an appointment sooner than the one I already had booked for the 30th. I was expecting a letter but got a call instead. And I thought it would be in the breast screening clinic but it's in oncology which is the bit that's causing a little worry x x

I'm going to mention it when I get the results of my biopsy if I don't go to the gp b4 then as its getting really tender. I def don't have cysts as that was about all they could confirm from my us x x

How did you get on. Weirdly enough I discovered a tender area in my upper left abdomen last Thursday (9th) had my us and biopsy on Monday and completely forgot to mention it x x

Hope you get back in the shallow end soon. My experience of the breast screening was that they are all very lovely. Make sure the person who is accompanying you knows all of the questions you want to ask. I forgot all of mine but luckily the hubby remembered. Also wear a non wired well fitting bra just incase they do a biopsy there and then like mine. I wore an underwired and was quite uncomfortable until I got into a nice support bra. Best of luck x

Thanks everyone. Still no appointment through yet. But I have a poorly child to take my mind off of me at the mo. I Feel quite uncomfortable today but I did go to work & maybe I shouldn't have. I thought it would be better to keep busy x x

I went for my u/s today and they performed a core biopsy there and then (3 samples) apart from concerned expressions the sonographer & assistant didn't give anything else away. I have an irregular non painful lump (def not a cyst was about all they gave me info wise) which has a hardened vein coming from it. She said vein because it's to close to the surface to be a duct apparently? The vein (I'm saying that's what it is because that's what she thought it was) has little to no blood supply running through it & I also have an outward indentation. My question is does anyone know how/why they chose to do core biopsies. She said the lump is indeterminate what does that mean. I prodded a little for answers but I got nothing (although she was lovely) and my follow up appointment which should have been on the 30th she said was too far away and I'll get a letter in the next day or so with an appointment for next week. I'm so confused?!?!?!?!? Thanks for reading & thanks in advance for your replies x x

They put in the local anaesthetic which is a little stingy but ok it's not horrible. Then they give you a few mins while it kicks in. They make a tiny little incision which you can't feel then take the samples (I had 3) they don't hurt its like a being jabbed with a pen or something (Hard to describe) but you can't feel the needle if you get what I mean, then you are patched up. It feels like I've got a badly pulled a muscle now but it's been much better since I put a non wired support bra on instead of my underwired one. I've been taking paracetamol and its ok x x

Just a question. Do either of yours have any outward sign of anything. I can't keep going over the fact that mine is hard, very irregular in shape has hardened veins/ducts/tendons coming from it and I have a very prominent puckered (almost scar looking) line running from under my nipple area to the lump. As you can tell today I am less calm 😕 x x
