Thanks for all the replies. Mine is 3 months post-op, sometimes I think it has almost gone then the next day I realise it hasn't faded as much as I thought. Think this is due to looking at it in different lights. Sparkle xxx

Hi I used normal creams/body butters and bio oil before starting my treatment. Used aqueous cream from 2nd day of rads. Last day tomorrow and skin still intact and only slighty pink. Sparkle xxx

Hi Mandtheslayer I had my lump removed about 1pm and I was home by 8pm. No pain (ever) just slight discomfort, for a few days. No drains. I honestly felt fine physically. Emotionally is a different matter. I only had one scar as they were able to remove the nodes from the lump incision, this probably helped a great deal. Everyone in the hospital was lovely. Hi Sharnie I am similar to yourself. I was very anxious to begin with. Almost completed the rads, no tiredness or burning as some on here have had. I was on a Moving Forward course and most ladies I met have had little or no side effects with rads & hormones. Wish I knew this when I started. I think the best advice which I read on here was "Don't go looking for side effects". Good luck with your treatment. Sparkle xxx

My weekly review is a series of questions - Are you tired? How is your skin? Any side effects from hormone therapy? How is your throat? Have you noticed any swelling in your breast or arm? And possibly another question which I can't think of. They ask me this when I am lying down, boob exposed and feeling vulnerable. Any concern I have is dismissed with a quick "it's normal" with no explanation as why it is normal or "keep an eye on it". I just started answering fine or no to all the questions as I wanted it over asap. Any concerns I had I contacted BreastCancerCare who are wonderful and reassuring. Anybody care to share their experience of the weekly review they have. Thank you. Sparkle xxx

Hi lincs_lady I am recently diagnosed and have been told I will need to take Tamoxifen for 10 years. I am age 50 and classed as post menopausal as I had a hysterectomy in 2010. Will be interesting if they increase the 5 years to 10 for ladies finishing the 5 years. Sparkle xxx

Another week started. 5/20 now completed for me. Most of the girls who I see are lovely. One is a bit brisk. I want to tell them it's rude to whisper when they're discussing your treatment. Hi I didn't tell any family/friends until after my op when I got my results back. My in-laws still don't know what to say to me. The prognosis was good so glad I waited until I had some good news too. My husband and our workmates knew everything which helped as didn't feel as though it was such a secret. Whatever you decide is the correct option for you. Some people will surprize you by being so caring. Hugs Sparkle xxx
