OK, ladies. The FB group is now set up. So far there's just me and Jo on there. Jill, I've invited you to be my friend. Pretty please! Hi Sara. My tumour was grade 3. When they tested it, the proliferation rate was at the lower end but they offered chemo, then changed their minds because of my allergies. Hi Christine. Haven't been able to post for a while - not sure why. Hope this works. Started Anastrazole last week and thought it was going ok but woke in middle of the night with awful joint pain and my feet felt crippled. Got bladder pain today so have stopped taking them. Hi Sara. Sorry your tumour is worse than you expected - that must have been a shock. Mine was grade 3 too. Hopefully the tests will show that it's not growing too fast. It's possible they'll offer you a choice of whether or not to have chemo so it's worth doing some research on what it adds to your predicted survival. For me, chemo would have added 4% but due to my allergies, it was recommended I didn't have it, so I had rads and aromatase inhibitors. There are websites where you can calculate survival yourself, if you want to, eg http://www.predict.nhs.uk/predict.html. I know some people would rather not know. Good luck.   ... View more

Hi Dorice. The rads keep on working for at least a couple of weeks after treatment ends. I got blistering under my boob about a week after the last rads. I had to stop wearing a bra till it cleared up. Other advice I've read is to air your boob out, eg lie naked on the bed to let the air circulate. My scar was purple - I think that happens if your skin is brown or olive. ... View more
