Hi ladies I am well thank you.. Fantastic news chelle so glad you made that decision. I too had heard so many stories of ladies having to have second surgery that I went for the mx. As you say Bibi it must be devastating. I've still got my Seroma flipping thing but I'm having it drained again on Monday. We arr going away yo the peak district a couple of days next week on our mobile home. I've had enough I'm going crazy stuck in the house. Got an appointment on 15 March to discuss rads with the onc. Hi Suzy looks like ill be delayed RT too. inly had Seroma drained yesterday and its filling up already. They said no RT till this is sorted. Chelle I could move my arm the day of the op but I only had three nodes removed. How many have you had out? It could be because you still have the drains in. I'm not sure x ... View more

Good news to share Ive just been for my results after the operation. The cancer was contained and had not spread to any of the lymph nodes. . Still got round three to go radiotherapy but outlook very good. Excellent treatment at Colchester Hospital such a great team . Had my Seroma drained too. Apparently they are more common if you have had chemo first x ... View more

Hi ladies who have recently had op.  How do you know if you have a seroma or its early day bruising and swelling.  My boob sometimes looks like a 34 b and I have a tight feeling under and at the back of my arm. Other times it's ok.  Worried sick about getting lymphodemia.  How come they only tell you about that just before the op.  2weeks post op now.   Also cheesed off I caught a cold from a young pregnant girl who was admitted into the bed next to me with a stinking cold and epelectic fits.  The fits were due to her medication not staying down because of her cough and cold.  However didn't stop her nipping out every hour for a fag in her nighty and slippers.  Where's the sense in putting someone like that next to a cancer patient who has just finished chemo and had an op.  And poor baby ( which fortunately is ok). Hi chelle my drains did nit hurt coming out I was b glad to get rid. But the lovely nurses put flipping plaster over the drain holes. After about five minutes I was clinging to the c ceiling. They took the plaster off and I had a red welt and a water bluster forming so as a consequence its the drain holes that have given me jip. Xxxxxx ... View more

Hi lovely ladies just clearing up my old bras.  Going to send them to Smallsforall.org.  Who recycle or send out bras and new pants for ladies and children in Africa. Hi ladies day 5 after mx.  Got up this morning showered, put a bra on with softie, not too bad.  Said to my husband as I got out of the shower.  It's June and I've just had one hell of a nightmare.  I'm going to wake up soon and find out that none of this has happened.  But sadly it's real!, feel as though I've been in a dream this past six months what the hell happened. Have stopped aching from the chemo and glad to say I can stay awake nearly a whole day.  Results in two weeks time and take it from there.  Lots of love to everybody xxxx ... View more

Hi ladies do you know Suzy I felt like you this morning.  I looked in the mirror and thought no hair, no boob and I've put loads of weight on and can't recognise myself.  Do you know what though ladies we will move on and get stronger every day .  As my Onc said be kind to your self.  I learnt on the day I had my operation that my brothers bowel cancer has spread to his lung and liver.  So at the moment I thank my lucky stars I am where I am.  Well done scardchelle like you I thought I'm getting rid of all of this and I'll deal with recon later if at all.  Knitted knockers do G cup but I'm sure that the BCN have them too.  I'm an E cup xx. One of our manages in the NHSwas the life and sole of the whole organisation.  The year after her op her sparkle had vanished and people worried about her.  Second year she has her mo jo back and is her old self xxxx ...
