Thanks for the reply Colista. It's just I'm rethinking my life (which is sooo stressfull - I mean the rethinking & the risk). Looking into giving up work and being poor, but LIVING without always waiting for Friday. I'm not back at work yet but the thought frightens me. Well after initial lumpectomy & 8 x chemo I was operated for 3 cysts in same place. Turns out one was cancer. How does cancer grow during chemo I ask! Anyway then operated again for clear margins. To answer your question I had tumour removed in Oct 2015 and the cysts appeared during chemo. They decided to wait and finish the 8 sessions before operating, only to descover that the walls of one of the cysts was cancerous. Now waiting for date for 3rd op to get clear margins. Am taking my diet very seriously now, juicing etc. ... View more

Hi ladies, A bit of bad news. Had surgery last week to remove 3 cysts in same place as original tumor, and one of the cyst walls was a tumor. I ask myself how can a tumor develop whilst having chemo. They decided to wait till I finished chemo before operating. And I've just read an article that a decade ago they realised that chemo is no good for breast, colon and lung cancer. Thanks for all your kind mesajes, they have given me a boost. Cancer really does make you stop and think and I think I have to re-evaluate my life and change direction. It's been a wake up call. Hi Ladies ... remember me I have finally finished chemo and have had to be operated again as 3 lumps appeared in the same place. They were taken out Monday and waiting now for confirmation that they are not cancerous. Can´t start rads until scar healed so a little wait still. Had managed to be very strong but now my world is falling apart. Can´t bare to think that soon it will be all over and I have to go back to work. Hello ladies,   Sue H-S do I take it then you don´t have TN cancer? Pam you do seem to be gong through a lot, do you have support? I am so lonely and feel no one supports me. My partner took me to and from chemo but that is it. He couldn´t even hug me when I cryed, wouldn´t prepare food etc etc. And the thing is he actually thinks he is doing it all brilliantly. I have moved into the spare room which is more like a box/storage room and just feel overwhelmed by everything. Not coping. I´m OK thanks Suzanne, had the drainage removed today which hurt like hell but otherwise OK. Yes it is all pretty frightening isn´t it, and I´m so sick of people saying that nowadays everything is so much more advanced and I´ll be fine. In general until it happens to you, you dont know anything about it. I didn´t even realise there were various types of breast cancer before. I personally don´t think the doctors/oncologists etc have a clue, they don´t understand how cancer works and why it metastasizes. Hello ALL, I can´t believe how this tread has picked up since I last logged on. There are so many of you that I am now lost with who is who. For some reason I can´t get to be notified automatically when someone posts like I used to. So sorry about Jinny, it really brings it all home. I think it was only a few months ago she said she was NED, or am I confusing people. RIP Jinny. I am having an operation tomorrow, 3 lumps that appeared during chemo which I finished 4 weeks ago. They say the lumps are not cancerous but a reaction from my original op, maybe lymphatic fluid build-up. To be honest no one could really confirm what they were!!!????? A bit worrying but I´ll be glad to have them out and analysed. Feeling a little nervous and tearful today.
