Daisy... Youu are allowed to feel miserable and rubbish... What better place to air your feelings than here? We are all on our own journey but we all Have a better chance of understanding each other. I went to a local Cancer charity yesterday and they are giving me Reiki and they have art classes and boat trips and stuff... Not sure if there is anything like that near u? The hospital gave me for info x Smoothies - I don't use recipes but tend to have the same mix in each... Handful of Fruit ( same colour) frozen usually. Green - kiwi , pear, banana Red - mixed red/ purple fruits ( whatever I have in) Handful of Veg ( kale/ spinach/ broccoli Then I add .. Water (can use juice or coconut water) Ice cubes - essential as so much nicer cold Ginger - immune boost Lemon - breaks down food You can't really go wrong and u can't taste the veg. Morning all... Enjoying my last day of week 3 as have 3rd FEC tomorrow... Half way through!!!!! 😆 My doctor told me to feel my lump as it would shrink... The first cycle it grew! It was horrible 😢 at first I found it really hard to feel it but know I check when I bathe and the last time he checked it had begun to shrink 😊 Have only had a couple of mouth ulcers and dry mouth... I use corsadyl mouthwash religously twice a day and start the day with a superfood smoothie. My onc said my bloods showed my immune system bounced right back after chemo so accrediting that to the smoothies 👍 Im well impressed by all u guys that are cooking, cleaning, decorating! I have become so lazy and spend my days going for coffee 😳 I've even hired a cleaner, shame on me 😁 ... View more

Good luck Carol looks like u are a week ahead of me. Do u have a PICC/ portacath? I've ended up with phlebitis thrombosis (inflammation of he vein and blood clot) it's very sore but generally I'm well... Gutted as this is my normal week before treatment starts and i have plans! 😡 ... View more

Thank you... Never to late for advice. I have been walking but not with purpose/ speed... More pottering. I had planned a brisk evening walk... Maybe even break into a cheeky jog when no one was looking but my mother in law invited me for tea so I ate my body weight instead 😩 . I really want to get a routine going ESP swimming to help muscle tone as I used to run twice a week... Love being part of an event ... I had a towel over mine 😩 I contacted a unit today at the hospital which provides massage/ reiki/ beauty and even art classes... I have so much time on my hands I'm hoping to make the most of it. Have any of you heard of the Willow foundation? They are a charity that provide days out for seriously Ill people (even now I don't feel comfortable with the category) you can apply online. Ps Emmajane I lost a lot of weight before I started treatment and even won 2nd prize in works weight loss club! I have only lost 2lbs between 1st and 2nd treatment and am trying to eat regularly to stave off the sick feeling. Hoping to put some weight on so they can use the tissue to build me some new breasts. I didn't go for cold cap as just wanted them to zap every cell in my body, follicles and all... I don't like not having hair but I dislike Cancer more ❤️ ... View more

I am 8 days into my second FEC and although my tummy feels gripey and can't stop thinking about food!!! ESP this morning I would love a pepperoni pizza for breakfast! The witches comment made me laugh!! That's exactly what I look like.. I bought some bamboo cotton caps to wear at home and they are so soft and comfy (Amazon) and wear a scarf out or my wig for the first time yesterday 😁 I always have bloods taken and consultant appointment day before chemo too. I thought that was an actual medical term for a second 😳 I had it in first week as couldn't stop salivating and the constant swallowing have me indegestion. It is interesting on here how some of the info/ choices the docs/ nurses make clash... Procedure/ meds etc. I couldn't remember whether I needed to take meds last night or this morning so ended up texting my consultant at 10pm!! Was feeling queasy... I slept relatively well (as well as I do these days... Very broken with a 6am internal alarm call) only have a walk planned today and white blood cells booster injection (expected that I do myself...
