Hi All,  thanks for thoughts, hospital is an hour away so it's a big thing to go and get bloods checked.  I went in and again had zero neutrophils so kept in, that's 2 out of 2 T having me on iv antibiotics.  I think I shall just book a taxi for 3 weeks time in preparation!!!  Was really hard to get released this time as not in oncology ward as only elderly ward had bed, first time I have had to discuss bowel motions before being allowed home so glad the haematology registrar rescued me.  I still find it so difficult to obey rules when I feel well but just have a temp then get trapped in a room for 48 hours because of it, makes me go a bit stir crazy.   Dear cjrd really hoping you find something to help with the pain of the fingernail loss, I am being very gentle with mine as even though I painted them black they are painful so I may need tips on care after the next T.  Really hoping you get through the rest of treatment more easily xx love to all xxx ... Anyone not gone to hospital when temperature hits 38?   Have phoned them but wondering how urgent it is. With school pick ups, child and parent care to get arranged?   Will be going but wondered if it could be left for a few hours/ tomorrow and see if temp goes down???  Waiting for a call back  ... Hi Aileen, I had lumpectomy but only testing of lymph nodes removed did not have a full clearance and was pretty much fine with a sports bra  with normal painkillers after a couple of days.  For me the issue was getting over the anesthetic.  Hope all goes well, the chemo has definitely been far worse than the op xxxx ... Hi all, haven't watched the big c but I can only speak from previous experience when I went through treatment for bowel cancer 8 years ago and say I was extremely emotional and depressed for a long time during and after and now I look back and am sad at the time that was wasted feeling like this instead of getting on and embracing my kids and life to keep going.  I have been much more positive this time and tried to take treatment and keep life going as normal as possible (although keeping working 2 weeks out of 3 has been a big strain).  Having said that the day 7 1st T has kicked me hard and just got back from 2 days in hospital with neutropeana. And to think I hated FEC hmmm am saying constantly to myself "just keep swimming" and planning all the amazing food I will eat when my mouth recovers..  Anyone else have a grey mouth but been told not thrush?  Keep going girls, the nhs and treatment solutions for bc are well founded xxxxxxxx   ... Sucks donkey balls! 😂 Thank you so much for that phrase Ali has brightened up my phooey week.  Had to go to hospital Sun night with temp but ok now after fluids and antibiotics so had third and final FEC today, hallelujah, but not sure why this one was worst and threw up twice while I was having it.  Now at home having presumably also thrown up all the anti sickness meds with it so having a pity party in bed.  I know it will get better but darn it that really spoiled my day!  Well done everyone most of us must now be at the halfway point xxxxxxxxhugs to you all, you are doing fabulous and when we get through this we crack open the bolly - um sorry just seen the Ab Fab movie trailer and am super excited as the T V prog was part of my life when I was young and carefree happy days xxx ... Hi Collista, I agree with Ali could be pent up indigestion.  Someone recommended lansoprozole from the GP and that really helped esp at night.   Are you also having the injections to boost your white bloodcells?  I was told they give you pain where they are boosting the cell production often in centre of your chest so it could also be a bit of that which will ease when you stop them.  I also find I am doing explosive burps which releases the wind and helps the indigestion pain, what polite company we all are now!!!  Hope you get some respite soon, off to buy more bird feeders so I have more to look at out the window after the next cycle, a bit of change from my usual mad hobbies xxx ... How's everyone's kids handling your hair loss?  Mine insist I wear my cap all the time ( they are 8 and 10) and avoid cuddling me which is really upsetting me.  I don't want to disturb them but I think keeping my head hidden is like hiding a nonexistent bogeyman under the bed, what's everyone else doing ? Hi Helen, glad the new meds are helping.   They reduced the dose of the red one (epirubicin.) they gave me this time and that has helped a lot with the dizzy vomits, just feeling hungover too.   Well done on another day everybody xxxxxxxxxxx ... View more
