Clavical? Is that the neck area. Sorry for my ignorance. We all have to take faith in the doctors decisions and hope its all for the absolute best . Have you started rads yet warcol. How is it going xx. There just seems to be an extra challenge all the time. Long gone are the days when I wasn't constantly worried. But this is how it will be forever. I'm hoping that will be the case to, and after surgery it will be gone. I'm going out for lunch with my wonderful family later and will enjoy ever second of half term with my girls. During chemo i felt safe. I was lucky (loose term) to have minimal side effects. I just wanted it to be worth it. It's hard to stay positive and I've had a couple of low weeks since chemo ended. Bcn asked me if I had considered imm. Reconstruction so mastectomy is clearly now an option. Was going to ask for one anyway, but in may when dx doc said possibly lumpectomy. I need honest advice please.... Had my MRI results. The tumor has shrunk by half. It was 20mm and bcn told me its now approx 10mm. I'm so worried that I didn't get a complete response. Being tn just makes it worse. Anyone else not had pcr after 6 months of gruelling chemo. What are my chances now. Hi anon, there are not many tn's in here I don't think. We won't have medication after as our cancer is not hormone fed. After chemo ... That's it. Plus surgery and rads. That's the scary part of tn, as we have no extra 'security' after our initial treatment. I've was told I would have chemo to shrink tumor, and then hopefully a lumpectomy...but as I want to eliminate any chances if reoccurrence, I'm seriously considering have double mastectomy. I'm yet to discuss this with my surgeon. .... I'm concentrating now on getting through my next two treatments. I'm dreading Tues. My onc has reduced my dose by 10%, due to last one and side effects. That info has not helped me....i'm triple negative and having T every 3 weeks. I was never given a option or had anything explained in depth... Just went with onc decision. The cancer has definitely shrunk, but as for long term effectiveness I'm now very worried. Got my 5 th treatment Tues and after the last one, I'm really not looking forward to it all. X ... Hi Anon, and all those who sent messages. I'm finally feeling 'normal' again now. My aches and pains have gone now, my mouth is still funny, and taste buds are non existence, but that's a small price to pay. This time last week I was at my worst, so knowing that I've come out the other side and feel better makes it all worth it. As long as the chemo is doing what it should and getting rid. I see my onc Monday to discuss next treatment and plan of action. Glad to hear your on the mend Rosie too and those too that have suffered. I can't believe how many of us suffer the same. Well, I'm finally home. White blood cells made a steady increase and I'm feeling better. Still got the odd aches and tender stomach, so not clear from pain relief. Got antibiotics and lots of meds still to keep taking. Day 8 now and hoping by b the weekend I'll feel like me again. Seeing onc on Monday to review treatment?? Omg Rosie I can't believe it. My bloods came back with really low white blood count..0.1! My stomach got really bad. My chemo nurse said its defo one of the side effects. Im on iv pencilllin and antibiotics and they will try and boost my white cells. Best of luck honey, so sorry to hear your in this position too. T has got me. I've been admitted. My stomach during the night was so painful. Had the tax trots but nothing got better. My temp it 37.8 this morning, so here I am. I am nuerphenic, so in a side room. What a way to spend a sunny bank holiday. But I'm in the right place now, and hopefully these T side effects will soon disappear.. I am dreading the next one already, but seeing onc tomorrow. I thought I was feeling better this morning but as the day has gone on I've got worse again. I can't believe how much I sailed through fec. This has really hit me. My mouth is shocking too. I've literally fallen apart since Tues. I'm going to take a laxative tonight, to try and sort my stomach out. It feels all swollen and sore. Co codomol causes constipation.. Are you taking that too. Rosie, I'm having stomach pains too. I thought I needed toilet but nothing. I'm putting down to all the meds. I've been too the loo a few times, so I'm not constipated, but my belly is hurting. I've also had really bad aches in my back and chest. Plus indigestion has started today and got pins and needles in finger tips. I hate this tax. What's your temp been like?? Hi Rosie, thank you. I've been in bed all day, get out to have baths and loo. I knew it was going to be bad, but bloody hell!!! It's not been a good few days, I've been in tears with the pain. My cravings are all over the place...crave carbs straight after treatment... Had cheese n mash, pasta and got faggots n mash and that's just today!!! After a few days my cravings turn to chocolate and sweets. I do try and sqeeze in my 5 a day, so have smoothies and eat melon and pineapple for my dry mouth. Its like being preggers again, especially when the nausea kicks in. Not putting too much weight on yet though, but may change when T starts plus the 12 steroids a day!! 3rd fec today. Half way through already. Its going very quick. I was a bit worried about my veins as my arm has been sore ever since no.2 and a recent trip to a&e proved that getting blood was a bit tricky. But luckily my nurse today got one straight away and it began. I had been drinking plenty for past few days and been putting a heat pad on my arm too...not sure if that helped, but glad I did it. Feeling a little bit more tired than usual. But this time round, I will make the most of the kids being off school and have plenty of lie ins and relax more. Hoping my se's stay the same...i asked my onc for some indigestion meds, as suffered alot last time and I've got some other little helpers at hand for any blockages!! 😉 Hope all ladies are doing well, and any who have reached the half way mark today or soon to do so, well done and good luck. T... Hope your ok. I agree with what you did. I would of done the same... And I'm an ex smoker. I have very little patience with anyone these days and I do get wound up much more than I did. But other people have hardly no respect or consideration for others. It makes my blood boil , as I know I am a fair, considerate and a well mannered person....
