Hi Lisa Thats a bummer but at least they’re not hanging around. Have you ever gone on on a site called Inspire? It has got a brilliant info and support on brain mets especially on latest treatments. I had another recent stint in hospital managed to get dehydrated. I still keep getting dehydrated and I want to know why. I’m taking in lots of liquids. Any ideas?  Then from hospital went to hospice - hated it. People lovely but environment yucky. So gonna have to find somewhere else to die (not ready yet). How frustrating FF, we’ve all been been there. My oncologist has has she’s not going to bother doing any more. How on earth will she know when there’s No Evidence of Disease ha ha ha 🤶🎅🏻🎅🏻? Sorry about you eyesight truffs that’s a bit of a pain. Ooh Er, I didn’t know that about drinking wine. I hardly do but it’s kinda putting me off even that occasional glass. I’ve finally got my pain relief sorted I can’t say what a difference that’s made to my life. I know exactly what I have to do to be “normal” , at last.  Im still booking holidays. I’ve booked a worldwide cruise trip to Australia from Southampton in january 2019, which then has then having a three - four break to explore NZ and west coast of Australia to pick up a return cruise from Singapore on 18 March. I’m really looking forward to it and I’ve worked it around my seven week transfusion needs. Lauren, I’ve got cancer in my bone marrow(and about everywhere else ha ha) but the effect of it in the bone marrow is that your calcium levels are great,y altered (take Adcal with vit d for this) it also effects the blood cells being produced. I’m under an integrative oncology charity (www.canceroptions.com) which help with the right type of supplements. My main effect is haemoglobin levels which fall every seven weeks which which means I have two units of blood in that time period. I keep my white cells and platelet levels within the normal range (sometimes exceeding) with a supplement available from Amazon, Mico-Sol, Agarius  Blazei musherooms. There was a study in Spain and Italy which treated stage4 breast cancer patients with this. The results were remarkable and they have been with me. My oncologist wanted all of the details as she wanted to share. They are about 50-54£ a month. I started off with two and am now on 3 a day, following advice. There are always ways to move forward. Hi Ladybird. I hate being in pain and I’ve kicked and screamed with the medical staff to ensure that I’m not in pain cos it can make life intolerable. They’ve finally got the message. I’m on 30 mg of morphine capsule a day as well as a nerve blockers (cos of growth of bones putting pressure on nerves) and available liquid morphine that I can use as a top up. My life is SO different now, it’s amazing. So make sure you fine you find what works for you bEcause it is life changing both physically and mentally and such a relief for my family Jellytot, sorry to hear you have been feeling so low xx it’s worth touching base on the forum as I always find that it helps helps my spirits.  Im having a blood transfusion at the moment, which is taking forever!! However once it’s done to done for about another seven weeks. Mainly living at Seasalter at the moment. With my pain under control I am now able to go over to the beach etc, which I love. Have to remember not to overdo it.  I’ve found complete freedom because all treatment has stopped. You’d think I’d be scared etc but it’s the complete opposite. I know it’s different for everyone but I’m just so grateful to feel the way that I do. I don’t even think about cancer very much hence why why I don’t come onto forum that often. Fingers crossed, pain all sorted. Did have radiation to lower rib cage for longer term relief. I got up this morning and felt...normal. Wow was I thrilled funny how priorities really change. Hope everything went well truffle shuffles.  I'm on holiday at the mo staying in Sovereign gatehouse in the grounds of Osborn House on Isle of Wight. Vicky invited me down for a long weekend. My dear hubby has realised that he's only brought down one pair of trousers which are now in washing machine!!! Then when they are dry it's shopping time. Always a silver lining.  Think they've got the pain killer solution under control. Waking up with no pain is a miracle and for joints to work properly so I can walk around is great. FF really exciting. It's all the waiting ha ha. I adore my grandchildren and they really lift my spirits. I've had extreme pain these last few weeks. I often sleep in our recliner and it doesn't touch the pressure points. Getting into bed and trying to find the one position !!! I'm on a much higher dosage of morphine and nerve blocks. It's because my lower left rib has squashed nerves. Also I'm having radiation on the area next week. I asked for I've never been informed about this option it's only being on the forums that I knew about it. Disgusting really, I think I'm getting so angry because this scenario and many worse things have happened to me and it's only cos I had knowledge about certain things. I'm thinking of creating a leaflets for people diagnosed with bc and MBC. A good idea?  ... View more

I'm on comcodamol for my pain which works well. I changed to morphine at the weekend but the dose was all wrong so collapsed with terrible pain. Hubby called ambulance and I've gone back onto my original tablets. However, three days after taking magic ingredient my pain has completely dissipated, appetite is greater as well as energy. Funnily enough my blood pressure has normalised. I have it taken once a week so I've come off my blood pressure medication, as it wasn't serving any useful,purpose. Didn't get to conference 😟The hospice had changed my pain meds to morphine (druggy now) but the dose was completely wrong so I collapsed in agony on Friday and my hubby had to call emergency ambulance. Didn't get taken into hospital, no point, but did have  contact with a different palliative nurse at the hospice who advised me to go back onto co- codemal as they worked. At least last time when I had that kind of pain I produced a baby!!! Also I'm starting to get into a better routine as we are mainly living down the caravan. Taking a tiny bit of a certain magic ingredient that has had a brilliant effect on the pain, appetite and energy levels. Only three days in, so it's true what they say. Thoroughly recommend.  With the conference I will get written transcripts and electronic versions though not quite the same as being there. I will share the best stuff when they come through.  Im not particularly bothered now about treatment stopping as you said Moijan I've done it once before so it's possible again.  Sorry to hear all of the people struggling, sending you hugs and kisses xxx  ... It's so sad when you lose a member of the family. We had two dogs and one of them just became ill really quickly and she was the same age as her sister and we had to put her to sleep, so sad.  On a personal note, I've now come to the end of the treatment road so am now struggling to find my positivity. I am going to a two day conference at Birmingham on Saturday and Sunday called , I Can Do it, look it up on internet. It is all hayhouse authors, including Anita Moorjani. I've now come to the end of my treatment options just got to get myself in a positive mindset. I still don't feel that I am on deaths door.
