Hi Katlynne. Sweetie I feel your pain! I have been on Tamoxifen since April 2016. I have put on loads of weight and agent sad all the time. I have taking sertraline (an anti anxiety drug) since Nov and feel a little better. The sweats drive me mad and play havoc with my skin too. I guess I would recommend the sertraline. Hi Charys I have been taking tamoxifen since April. I am finding the side effects of sweats quite debilitating. My head and hair and wet most of the time. After any slight excercise or exertion I am bright red. My joints ache, cramps and I get tired so quickly. I haven't had ibs - although I had that before. I get itchy skin too. Thanks for this thread ladies.  I am on  wockhardt.  Hot flushes make my hair (newly growing!) wet most of the time!  Ordered Teva to try, and they also offered Genesis.  Will my doctor happily give me another perscription so that I can try a couple of brands?   Melanie x ... View more

Hi Lambo129   I know what you mean!  I have been on Tamoxifen for 3months now.  The sweats and chemo side effects seem to just roll into the Tamoxifen.  I did 3 fec and 3 doxetaxol.  I am beginning to get more energy now and move about more, weight is stable and losing a little.  I find my head and face are pretty much hot and sweaty most of the time.  Just about to try Teava brand of tamoxifen and see if that helps.  Sending love.  Stay kind to yourself.  It takes time to recover.  Some days to me are still awful and other days I feel great.  Melanie x ... I am struggling with the side effects of tamoxifen. With itchy skin mostly on my face. It did come up in a rash from my chest upwards and the doctor gave me steroid cream and said was excema. It did go away but the itching is back. Also with pain in my lower back , hips and ankles. Anyone else have this? I don't know how to post generally! Another brand any better. I am in wockhardt.
