Thanks natnew81. I'm glad of your response as was really struggling. When bad to see rads nurse last Thursday who checked me over. Sounds like your skin suffered in exactly same places as mine. I'm now 8 days post rads and today is the first day I haven't felt worse than the day before so I think I've reached maximum cooking temperature. ! Managed without a dressing under my arm today so that's a positive. First time in my life I've wished my boobs were a few cup sizes smaller xx

Hi people. I was wondering if anybody had experience of post rad burns . I'm currently working my way through this but as it is mostly under my arm and covers my armpit and lymph node removal site I'm worried it will tighten that area long term and will affect the lifting and work of my arm ( under my right arm and I'm right handed). I'm 5 days post rad and know I should be paitent but up until now my journey has been a positive one

Hi swifty6. I'm 5 days post rads and I think I've finally got to the worse colour .my boob is covered in LOTS of dark brown freckles but my armpit is totally dark brown. Hope your skin is holding up well

Hi guys. Just need some advice as it's Sunday so no one at hospital available to speak to. Are there any creams you have been recommended to use once your skin has broken from radiotherapy burns. Just finshed 4 and half weeks of rads and my skin is now rebelling. So sore and uncomfortable

Congratulations MaryDan. Next Friday is the last of my 23 sessions and last day before sons half term so we will be celebrating this time next week. Then Saturday me and my bestie are off to Kensington Palace for a girly day out. Can't wait. Hang in there girls it will soon be over xxx

Hi everyone. Just completed my 15th session. Just 8 booster sessions to go. Perky has changed from a warm pink colour to a lovely sun kissed brown with added new freckles. Feel like an old hand now reading all the soon to be newbies. But just wanted to say don't look at the negatives it's not half as bad as you imagine and always give yourself little rewards. My friend took me for lunch aftetwards today. It's the means to an end. My journey started on my birthday in June on that first visit to the docs about a dimple on my boob and as I tell people I haven't seen since diagnosis I'm not a cancer victim I'm a cancer survivor. A question regarding recovery and long term appearance. I am 7 into 23 radiotherapy sessions and the boob having treatment is looking so different to the other happy one. I was expecting the redness and heat but it is very swollen and my nipple has got so much bigger and darker. How long after treatment finshes do things start to calm down or am I destined for pinky and perky never to match again ??
