A few years ago I had a double mastectomy and LD flap reconstructions. I have had quite a lot of pain in my back between my shoulder blades so my GP sent me for an MRI which I am waiting for the results from. I don't think its cancer as it the pain has bothered me for quite some time now. Some days it is worse than others. I find walking up and down stairs seems to set it off as does walking up and down any gradient. Honestly can say it is getting me down. Does anyone else on this forum suffer with back pain after having this type of surgery?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2013. I had a mastectomy and LD flap followed by chemotherapy. For the last few weeks I've been experiencing horrendous pain in my hip. A GP at my medical centre suggested it might be bursitis. She sent me for an x-ray of my hip which she said wouldn't show up bursitis but she wanted to make sure it wasn't anything else. Since then I've seen a specialist physiotherapist at Wythenshawe hospital and she said it definately isn't bursitis and said the hip pain is a referred pain from my back. I've now had an x-ray of my back and am currently waiting for the results. Until I've received these I am feeling more than a little anxious. I'm struggling to walk up and down the stairs and walking any distance is a real problem As I carry the faulty gene I have had further surgery that is my other breast removed and the removal of my ovaries and fallopian tubes. I'm hoping you might be able to reassure me a little. Thank you
