Thank you al. For your kind messages I'm very lucky to have a very supportive family behind me , I have one chemo left thankfully , I was scheduled for 8 but they changed it to 4 which I'm not complaining about . It's just hard when you are at home feeling like this after a double masectomy , expanders in and going through chemo and to top it all off only 25% of your hair left . I agree men can be so insensitive at times , he had a stomach ache the other day you would of thought he just had his leg bit off by a shark I felt like saying try battling the demons I am dealing with at the moment . ... Thank you for your support , my next chemo is 28 July so let's see how it goes , the shedding has got less but not sure if that is due to not much hair left , the reason I am so desperate to hang on to is I really don't want to see myself bald and also hoping to have hair extensions put in when it is safe to do so..   Good luck ladies , all my love   Helen xxx ... Hi I am in a similar situation and only have about 20 per cent of my hair with it being very very thin practically bald right on top of my head , I do want to carry on with the cold cap and try to hang on to this last bit , however I do still have 2 AC left ..   if if you manage to find any info out please let me know    Helen xxxx ... Hi queenbee , yes the same thing happened to me after surgery which I have had two , my skin was terrible it was like I was a teenager again spotty all over , it took a good 3 weeks for it to get better ... Try not to stress about it as I think it makes it worse Helen xxxx ... View more

Hi I had a 11mm grade 3 , ER pos and her - I had the Oncotype test done and my score was 30 so borderline high risk I am due to start chemo in a matter of weeks , I too was very anti chemo but after doing the test I thought it better to do it rather than not as I would not to live with the what if I did scenario , I am going to try the cold cap and have a wig on hold which is costing me over a £1000 , I am scared of the chemo but I have a son and want to be around hopefully to see him grow up ...   Helen xx @Hollis69 wrote: Hi, I was diagnosed with 3.2cm IDC grade 3 and just had theraputic mammoplasty I am ER positive HER 2 negative and lymph nodes not involved, waiting for my oncotype 2 test results. Hi , I am recovering from my double mastectomy which I had done last Friday , I had Immediate reconstruction. Before the breast cancer I had already had implants as I had them done cosmetically 7 years ago , so like you when I first looked down and saw that they was not there anymore it was very emotional , I am black and blue all over . I miss my old boobies and keep looking at my new ones and thinking they just are not the same , opting for the mastectomy was my choice as I have the brac2 gene and wanted to lower my risk of any reaccurance , I just feel the next stage is waiting for the pathology results which I am very nervous about , it was also my 40th 2 days ago which I celebrated in my pj's and my drains still in . I have a 15 year old son so will take what ever action to be here for him ... Hope you feel better soon xxx ... View more

Thank you Ann , All sorts of thoughts are racing through my brain , the main one being why did i not do anything from possibly making this happen , I was diagnosed with the brac2 gene in Jan 2014 and exactly 3 years later I'm on this forum saying I have breast cancer , I feel so stupid , I'm not new to breast augmentation I had cosmetic surgery in May 2010 because I wanted bigger boobies and after breast feeding etc they did not look he way I wanted them to look , I am feeling that vanity has now led to this happening !  I just want to feel normal and be strong for my son and family 😞       ...
