Hi Girls, YesI am using Paxman cold caps but am loosing lots of hair too but they say even though you can loose up to 50%-70% of your hair it grows back quicker than if you dont use the treatments so I will put up with the cold-it was worse the second time-probably because I had less hair on my head ow, so hang in there girls we will have our locks back soon !!xxx sharon.

Hi Zena, Stay strong and hang in there with your treatment ,I have 2 D&C to go and then 15-20 rounds of radiation-everyday not looking forward to that and I cant have any more days off work as no more sickies or annual leave left now and need money for bills,food and mortagage.So I will have to fight like a girl and kick myself along and think positive.Keep off the sugar I dont have it ,it was hard at first but then got easier,I know you can do it stay strong and fight like a girl Zena.xxx sharon

Hi Moijan, Liked your thread as I so beleive in the no sugar as I have been told the cancer cells love sugar so thats it mine are getting none !! A healthy diet-vegies and greens no red meat,so I am sticking to this as it cant hurt !! stay strong xx sharon

Hi Elizabethtra,Oh my you poor girl that sounds so sore and bad,I am on tax and cyco,so I dont think I will get my nails put back on because knowing my luck I would have trouble with them like you and I dont want any more pain!!All the best love and hugs xx

Hi chinool, I feel like you do about your nails -it makes me feel goog to look down and see them all nice and neat-I keep them natural at work because we are not suppose to have false nails on but if they are kept natural and oval shaped they cant tell. I am on D&C chemo and are in too minds about getting them back on, if something is going to happen,it will happen to me!!After reading about one other poor girl and hers swelling up and bleeding I might wait until my treatment is over as I am a bit worried-I have had enough pain with the B.C. no more please.Best of luck girl.xx

Hi Amoyart, I am using Paxman too fingers crossed to you get to day 14 !!Mine was ok until then and now is shedding heaps ! My hair grows very fast and they said i might lose up to 70% but it will grow back faster so I am continuing with it-they will have to put some gauze or a paper hat on to protect my scalp from frost bite lol hope I got hair in 4 days as more chemo..Good Luck hun xx

Hi Ladies I started the Paxman cold cap -the nurses use it -about two and a half weeks ago and as they do everything I hope its all ok, but in the last 2 days its coming out and 6 hairs together in clumps it just wont stop!! They say if your hair grows fast that you could loose up to 70% but that it will grow back quicker and to not shave it off-I am tempted but am wearing a hat all the time to collect the hair thats falling.The ladies using their own cold caps and ice seem to have better results as they monitor the temps more closely. Baldom here I come lol I am getting a wig as I will need one, I have some turbans but need a wig for work. Sharon.xx

Hi Girls/Guys, I am new to this board and just had my lumpectomy and sentinel node out a week ago,I have IDC and am triple negative.I was a bit concerned about the lump left after the lumpectomy,I thought it was bleeding as I knew it wasn't scar tissue as it was there after the surgery but after reading the other replies,I feel better,I see my surgeon/oncologist in a week,so thanks to all.x.
