Hi I developed carpal tunnel syndrome after chemo -my middles &I index fingers were the worst with numbness & tingling -felt like a tight band around them -oncologist nurse said it's possible The chemo may have irritated the nerve Tried various painkillers & acupuncture without success GP was great & did injection &a pleased to say pain went & 7 months later still pain free

Hi Babyblues -can so relate to this I had chemo surgery &a radiotherapy- finished end of December Have tingling in hands & finger tips Leg pain &I after sitting for any period of time everything feels stiff Feel line my body has aged 20yrs Did have pain in feet but that has now gone! Hopefully everything will settle with time

Just seen this and can relate as 9 weeks post chemo & surgery and having hip &snack pain - when I sit or getting out of bed I have stiffened up -think I have aged ++

Hi You are certainly riding the roller coaster and can relate. You have only just had surgery and that will have your emotions s all over the place You will come through this! It all seems very unreal &I I can't quite believe it is happening! One day at a time

Hi Had chemo followed by surgery Seen oncologist who said 4 weeks of radiotherapy needed -how long should it be from surgery to starting radiotherapy -is 6-8 weeks reasonable?

Hi Seroma should be clear/straw coloured - yours sounds like it could be a haematoma The redness sounds like cellulitis or infection-I recommend you are seen again Demand an apt &I if any issues then tell them you are going to A&E It is not acceptable for you to be suffering Hope you get it sorted

Hi I had 4 cycles of EC & have had 3 Docetaxel last one due Thursday - I self administered the injections day after chemo & it was fine - used my tummy as easy to grab a roll & & inject .

Hi Sandra -have just seen your post and thought that was me when I was told chemo was required- I remember thinking no way!! I am single & need to work to pay the bills, how on earth can I do this! I made it into such a mountain . I am due my 5th chemo next week and can honestly say for me it was not as bad as I thought . First few days feel tired and did not have any nausea until the 4th one &I the tablets worked a treat. Week after I am back at work and feel normal -what ever that is . Will be thinking if you and YES you can &I will get through it. Not how we expected this year to go but bring on the New Year 😊

Hi Munchkin - sorry for delay in reply but have not been on here for a bit- Have had 2 cycles with my third next Thursday -has not been to bad first 5 days or so feel tired & in my terms generally yucky with a foggy brain which clear by day 7 I am wishing the time away as want it all over with I have not used the cold cap Consultant & nurses don't think it's good to do so I got hair cut very short -hair started to thin around day 8-9 after first cycle and by day 14 had very sore painful head with hair coming out a lot! I got it shaved &I the pain all went ! Have been into work for the second week after chemo until the next one Hope it is not to bad for you &a you are managing it all ok ??

Hi Lucy - like you recently diagnosed Grade 3 Triole negative. I am having chemo first & have had 2 EC so far & third cycle next Thursday. Have had my ups & downs however determined to keep positive & any negative thoughts get locked in the box! I am sure you are strong as you have come this far, Success rates are so good these days & treatment is always improving.

Hi - We each handle it in our own way- I am having 8 cycles chemo followed by lumpectomy & radiotherapy - I cant afford not to work through some of this as only get 12 weeks sick pay .My boss has been great &I have been able to do some work at home for the first week after chemo & then back in the office til next one. No right or wrong just what is right for the individual !

Hi All had my first EC chemo 16days ago, second round next Thursday. Head feeling very sore &I shedding hair with a vengeance -thinking of getting it shaved very short. Hope you have had a good restful Sunday ! As tough as this is for all the forums help you to realise you are not alone!

Hi have just seen your messages- I am 14 days post my first chemo EC and now shedding a lot of hair. My scalp feels very tender to touch and itchy - assume just something to put up with? Do wonder if I should shave hair off ?

I am sure it will be fine- I had something similar after diagnosis following biopsy, the MRI & ultrasound they said lymph glands looked clear but when went back they could feel gland in armpit & it was tender -they said it could be a flare up after biopsy which is quite common apparently They did a biopsy came back all clear
