Hi red robin, im in the same boat, 2 years post treatment and struggling to find life insurance. I’ve been advised to reduce cover amount to a quarter of mortgage for now but quotes are still £70/month + Interested if anyone has found any good options? Thanks x

I have definitely been cold too since I started on it 6 weeks ago. Like cold to the bone feeling at bedtime where it takes ages to warm up. Having to wear thick winter pjs and often a vest top too. And the heavy achey legs. Not what I was expecting, wondering when the hot flushes kick in?

Hi I've been taking Tamoxifen for just over 3 weeks and so far seems manageable. Have very achey legs and I think my concentration is affected, but have been waiting nervously for hot flushes and night sweats. What is people's experience of when side effects really kicked in? My onc said if no severe side effects in the first 7-10 days then you should tolerate it okay, but from reading here that doesn't seem to necessarily be the case. Also did your periods stop quickly? I'm 41, but unsure of what to expect re cycle. Thanks x

Hi all, Am due mastectomy with DIEP in a few weeks and finding all your posts really helpful with what to expect from surgery and recovery. I know someone mentioned a V pillow being helpful- just wondering if the small breastfeeding support type ones are best or if you mean the really big ones that can support your whole body? Also were you provided with binders in the hospital or do i need to get them myself? Thanks x

Hi all, I have an IDC grade 2 to left breast which they were unable to remove fully with lumpectomy so I'm due to have a left side mastectomy soon. I'm finding myself continually worrying about the thought of leaving the healthy one and the potential for developing another cancer and thinking about opting for bilateral as preventative also. Does anyone have experience of this? I am awaiting the results of BRCA testing and if negative my surgeon is recommending single only but I wondered if others had been offered the option of both? Thanks x

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, diagnosed end of Feb. I've had a lumpectomy but didn't get clear margins, but fortunately clear lymph nodes, and have been prescribed Tamoxifen to start now while I await mastectomy. Am putting it off a bit to be honest, bit scared after reading all the side effects posts on here! But have decided I need to get on with it and just wanted to ask people- when would you recommend taking it? Morning or evening? Does one seem better to limit side effects? Thank you x
