Maybe, I've given the wrong impression. I agree our children are exposed to too much, but not at school. We teach them about changes to their bodies in puberty, personal hygiene and the correct names for body parts. Sadly, the correct names is needed because it enables children to talk about abuse. When this was introduced, most of the staff were unhappy but now realise that there is a need. We have had at least two disclosures following these lessons. As for gays and other minorities, we have different families, same love. Again, this is because we have children with two mummies or two daddies and whatever your beliefs, nobody wants a child to be treated badly because they don't belong to a standard family. Carolyn, our grandchildren seem to have far too much, although they don't seem to be as spoiled as others. They are very sporty and the two boys are going to America in the summer to represent England in ice hockey. What I feel they do miss is messy stuff. Their mum doesn't like mess so baking and creative art is done at ours. I suppose that's the grandma role.
