Xena75 sorry to hear you've been having a tough time. When you say your heart didn't like the docetaxel, what do you mean? I've been having major heart palpitations. Heart was going so fast a couple of days after each EC. Resulting in trips to hospital. Wondering what heart side effects the docetaxel caused You? Also you mention your kids having the flu jab. I've been told my son should not have the nasul spray they offer at the schools but a jab at the gp as the spray is live and should have a different not live version done at the go instead? Xxx ... Hi, thought I'd pop a message here again as you ladies are coming out the other side of the chemo now. Wondering if any of you have experienced the same as myself. Having FEC-T treatment. Had the 3 FEC part. And all 3 time on day 2 or 3 after I have had a episode of major heart palpitations resulting in trips to hospital. 1st time stayed in the night to be monitored. 3rd FEC dose was redused but still happened. Anyone else had this? Was it the chemo? Steroids? Did it go on to happen with the t part too. Any experiences from you would be great. Lots of hugs x ... View more

Me again may gang 🙂 as you've all experienced this all for longer. Have any of you had any success with the cold cap? If so is the dosataxol harsher on the hair? I run my hands through my hair and some strands come away. However slowed down since days after treatments. Is this normal with cold cap. Or do I give up. Evening everyone, Just to update. I rung the contact number I was given. As temperature starting going up too as well as having the cold. They called me in to be checked over. Had bloods done. Were all fine. Neutrofils 4. Anyone know what the normal range is? Xx ... View more

Xena 75, I hope your just lucky and don't suffer with side effects. But I have read others where their side effects have kicked in after a few days of feeling normal. Maybe when they stop taking their steroids xxx ... View more

I've not commented on here since the day of first chemo before I went. Was on the 9th. Feel back to my normal self now. However first week was pretty crap. Think I know now to write that off and know that I will be a hobbit for a week! I also spent a night in hospital due to rapid heart rate. Could feel it pounding in my chest too. Was hitting just over 100bpm. Not fun. No real answers except probably due to a drug. No one knows what one. Nurse said sometimes it's the steroids that can do this tho.
