Hi Kay! Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I don't have my consultation until September 22nd. The mapping will be 2 weeks later then the actual procedure 2 weeks after that, so...it won't be until the end of October. Ugh. hey there!   So...I finished my 6th Eribulin cycle on August 22nd. I have been feeling pretty great (apart from the fatigue and all) and each appointment with my dr was more encouraging than the last. I had scans done and got the results yesterday. My dr said the results were mixed...a few lesions in my liver either stayed the same or shrunk minutely, as well as the mets in my spine continued to be stable. All lymphnodes and soft tissue were clear as well, too.    Unfortunately, 1 lesion in my liver more than tripled in size which is what I've been feeling, thinking it was my gallbladder. Sort of wish that was what was wrong...It's a prominent, painful lump at the top of my right rib cage. I am gutted...I now have to have an angiographic radioembolization. I guess they shoot radioactive beads (yttrium 90 / y90)  thru an artery to the tumor as long as there is a clear path...and the process for that is just that...a long process. Could take at least a month to get the actual procedure done.  Anyone around here ever have anything like that done?    I don't really know what to feel right now...on the one hand, yay...so much looks good, but...well, yeah...this sucks.    Thanks for taking the time to read this! Hello everyone!    Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend!   I have two questions... The first is regarding something I read a few posts ago about feeling a bit irritable during your off week. I am in my off week after my 4th cycle and I can't stop crying...I have quite a bit of stress on top of the pesky cancer, but I've not really experienced this kind of breakdown since starting Eribulin or on any of the other drugs I've taken. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or am I just losing it??    The second question is about taking time off. I am going on holiday (which makes my crazy sadness every more confusing) on Wednesday and won't start cycle 5 until July 25th when I return. Has anyone else taken a few weeks off? Any good or bad effects from taking the time off? I'm nervous to not have it for a month, but I am also desperate to get away.    Any insight would be so helpful!   Thanks,  Lori ... View more

Hi Mahsa,    Sorry you have to join the group, but I do hope the Eribulin helps your aunt!   I've just finished cycle 4 and I feel like this drug has been a blessing. I had ascites that, in my opinion, was pretty bad. The nurses would laugh at me when I went in to be tapped because, despite feeling humongous, I am all of 5ft and 108lbs (at the time), I looked like I just had one cheeseburger too many. Typically, tho, they would get 3+ liters each time...and I was going in once a week. It didn't take the Eribulin long to dry up the ascites, tho, and I haven't had to be tapped since the beginning of May.    As some of the ladies have said below, my dr put me on this because my liver had also gotten serious...but, after 4 cycles, I have put on 12 lbs (good and bad lol) and feel more and more like my old self every day.    I hope that helps some!!    xo Lori ... Hello there! 🙂   Funny enough, I just ordered nice eyelashes for a wedding in July. Maybe mine will be grown in by then!    I suppose everything is going well! There are definitely challenges, but I'm pretty thankful for where I'm at. Feeling optimistic, but cautiously so...Like I mentioned in another post...the Abraxane was supposed to work for a good long time and ended up stopping after about 2. Hello there! I'm so happy to hear you are doing well on the Eribulin! That is fantastic! I am currently heading into my 3rd cycle tomorrow. I tolerate it pretty well...aside from being exhausted! I also get Faslodex shots once a month.   It is encouraging to hear people's hair has stopped falling out! I've been dealing with breast cancer since 2008...it's been metastatic since 2012. It's been a hell of a roller coaster, for sure. As it's been for most, I'm sure! I don't want to get my hopes up about Eribulin...I think it's working well so far, but the Abraxane was working well for 2 months then...nothing. Hi ladies,    My name is Lori and I've just joined the group. I was wondering if there is anyone who lost their hair, eyebrows and eyelashes from other chemo then, once they started Eribulin, everything started growing back. I will start my third cycle on Tuesday and I have so much fuzz on my head and it seems to just keep growing. What is even MORE exciting is finding my eyelashes are starting to grow back!! I think I've missed my eyelashes and eyebrows more than my hair (and, if I do say so myself, I had great hair!).   Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!    Hope everyone is hanging in there!!   Thanks so much!
