That's fab news. I'm going through a similar thing, thought mine was related to a running injury. Got a severe muscle spasm under my rub and side and now vein raised and side sore. At the drs on Monday. It's hard for people who haven't had cancer to know how our mind works....so glad you're sorted and put your mind at ease x

Try Planctur 39 for the hair. I use the shampoo, conditioner and also the daily tonic.. I think it has made a real difference to mine x

I started running in Jaunuary and I've been on letrozole for 1 year, switching to Accord brand a few months ago as Cipla was horrendous. I have now started to get severe hip pain on right side only. Had an MRI last week as they have found a cyst in my right thigh but doesn't look sinister. They have just tried changing to another brand when the pain stopped for now. I say that it's the medication and attacks one joint after another. Is anyone else having the same problems? Oh and the depression and heavy head is horrendous and making life miserable. With the hip problem I have had to stop running for now, which isn't helping with the depression.......one powerful little drug 😥

Judeworth no problem. I can't honestly put into words how bad i was on Cipla. Pain absolutely horrendous and low mood was frightening....but 3 months later on accord I feel totally different and just getting on with life again. I just asked the doc to state on my prescription accord brand only....so please try x

Judeworth I asked to change brands and have been tons better...a totally different person. I was on Cipla but changed to accord and sticking with it 😀

Janie1 which brand are you taking as I was like this with Cipla and since changing to accord I have been a different woman. Cipla brand was hirrendius and lower back pain, hip pain and joints were excrutiating. X

Hi anngab54 im pleased to hear you got some giid advice. I saw the oncoligist yesterday and asked if i coukd take sea kelp or biotin for my hair and the answer I got was 'don't know, never heard of them'. Never even offered to find out. Glad i only saw her once and don't need to see her again! Angel62

Hi Pili Pals which brand are you on. I was likevtgatvwith Cipla and since changing to Accord a week ago I feel like a different person. I also suffered with severe dry eyes and they put it down to the air conditioning in the room where I had the rafiotherapy daily. For the sweats I stopped drinking coffee and gone back to what I drink all day, hot water with lemon and the odd cup of tea as I read on a website coffee can make it worse. What we go through eh. Hi ladies i have been taking letrozole for 4 months and as I stated earlier the side dffects in he last few weeks have been horrendous and I couldn't cope with the low mood. I dud a lot if research and asked my doctor to take me off Cipla and put me on Accord after my research on this forum. I know it's early days and only been taking accord brand since Wednesday but already feel like I'm back to my old self, no joint paint, no sweats, no depression, appetite back so onwards and upwards at last fingers crossed. I'm also sleeping like a log again but doing stretching exercises before bed and sleeping with my feet raised on a cushion....peeeeerfect Angel62 x

Hi Nannyannie i know exactky what you mean I'm so depressed and feel like Ive aged 20 years. My hair is thinning but the depression is horrendous. I am trying to put a brave face on but I'm really struggling and don't want to worry my family. I've been to the metro centre today and used to love a shopping trip but I could have quite easily cine straight back home as the pain in my lower back was unbearable. I also have lost my appetite which isn't good. I'm still pushing to walk each day and do stretching exercises but I kerp thinking I've had enough. I see the oncologist again on 23rd and making a list of questions. Hipe the be a drug works for you....fingers crossed. Angel62 x

Hi all I've been on Letrozole for nearly 4 months now and yes the side effects are horrendous. Hit flushes, hair thinning but mainly the joint pain in the lower back, hips and legs mainly . I walk miles daily but couldn't sleep for it. I have now started doing some stretching exercises for the sciatic nerve before bed and also some butt exercises stretching the legs out by kicking backwards. I also put a cushion in the bed to raise my legs and can honestly say I'm sleeping like a baby without pain....still stiff during the day though, oh and very depressed but we are still here ladies. Awh thank you so much Dawn for this information. I will check without now. I used to walk or jig every day so I started a running club the other night with my friend and was really surprised I did considering what I have been through the last 4 months. Defo going to continue with this. Thank you for the advise re the sleeve. Someone also advised to wait a dull 6 months before low weight bearing exercises....so bring on the New Year.....fresh start Angel62 x

I listen to my body and rest when needed but need to get back to some form of normality. How do you get the free DVD I'm not much good at finding my way round this site lol. Hi all I had a lumpectomy in June and just go I'd had radiotherapy. I have continued walking 3/4 miles daiky when possibke through this. However due to letrozole I want to protect my joints and woukd like to know when I can start weight bearing exercises again, starting with light weights of course. Someone suggested asking for a sleeve to be measured as I had lymph nodes removed and they recommended not doing any exercise without this. However when asking breast cancer nurses I am not getting any answers. Any ideas anyone? Angel62

I'm like you exercisec and walk daily i find that realky helps me. I taje it st night too and I'm a littke warm first thing in the morning but seem fine the rest of the day. ALos drinks lots of hit water and lemon through the day. Been taking it 2 months so far x
