Hi I have now been taken off of tamoxifen due to the severe side effects that I experienced the joint pain was horrific and so was the feeling low in mood and exhaustion. I have now been off it for 7 weeks but still have the joint pain I am going for a bone density scan on Sunday to see if my chemo may have caused brittle bones

I'm now five weeks post surgery and have started to get my energy back which is great, my breast had now healed really well and apart from random pain in my arm from lymph nodes being removed everything is good. I restart chemotherapy on the 5th July as one naughty lump node still had live cancer cells all other cancer had died. This time last week I was really down exhausted and fed up but pulled my knickers up and carried on. I have found walking helps with the fatigue and also forces me to leave the house. So for all who are having a bad day or couple of weeks like me it gets better and my saying at the moment I would rather be lop sided three stone over weight (put on during treatment) and with little hair as long as I am cancer free love to all on the BC journey keep fighting xxx

hi Corrina I too am suiffering from uneven bobs my right now looks about two cup sizes smaller and my left now hangs alot lower, I am still young so feel that I would like the other one done to match. my NHS trust does not do the second breast so I am now having to go through my GP to apply for special funding!!!!! I think that this is the most stressful part of my treatment so far, I have been through FEC chemotherapy which made me really ill and Im now five weeks post op and having to have anther three round of chemotherapy then radiotherapy. I have put on three stone and feel really down and the massive difference in breast size is the final straw. But Im sure in time I will be cancer free and it will all be worth it. Sue

I had just started getting my energy back after chemotherapy before surgery and then it got knocked right back again. I have now been informed I need more chemotherapy starting on 5 July so back on the treadmill. I am trying to do 10000 steps a day but not always successful. I have not been to work since treatment started in January so coping on SSP which is hard But I have been keeping up beat and hope at the end of all this I will be cancer free and getting back to full health by the end of the year

Hi I had a similar problem and ended up buying some m&s non wired bras even though they do not give as much support as some they are comfortable I have been advised to wear them 24/7 until the wounds heal, I do however now sleep without a bra as I have been given a small crescent shaped pad that fits wonderfully around my breast and stops things from moving around I am his nearly four weeks post op hope this helps

I flew during every cycle of chemotherapy it was always in the last week of a cycle. I have never worn a mask and have had no coughs colds or any other illness. The chemotherapy did make me quite ill so I would not say that I breezed through

Hi I underwent a full node clearence three weeks ago and at first the top of my arm was totally numb, and then feels like a dead arm but it is manageable. There is some sensativity and at first the exercises can hurt but to be honest it is not as bad as the american sites make out. I have no lymphodima and things are settling down quickly. I hope this reassures you a bit

Hi all I had a theraputic mammoplasty and axillary clearence over three weeks ago I am still suffering with pain int the arm due to the nerves coming back to life but the breast is nearly pain free which is great. I am however feeling exhausted all of the time. One of my lymph nodes came back as showing signs of live cancer still so I am having to undergo another three round of chemotherapy but this is not starting to 05 July. I am normally a healthy fit person and before surgery I was walking at least 12000 steps a day with no ill effect, I have put on loads of weight which is getting me dowm, in fact I think that Im focusing on that rather that the cancer. Is anyone else feeling exhausted all of the time is this normal or could it be sign that the cancer has spread, I have been recalled to the breast care centre next tuesday after being discharged as they have seen something on the ultra sound, this was not really explained to me very well so I am very worried about this.and Im feeling quite low. I have been really up beat about about the whole treatment so far and coped well with the hair lose and weight gain but I now find myself crying on a daily basis. I just want to feel like me again, go back to work and start running and losing wiight. Sorry to go on but does anyone else feel this tired.
