Thank you Optimissy, I have been positive throughout my treatments, and really have not let if effect my day to day living. I just cannot understand how rotten I feel after rads physically and mentally. I am have stopped taking hormone therapy as could not deal with 2 lots of after effects. I finished my radiotherapy on the 10th October and I am feeling so ill, I cannot seem to Move and feel very light headed, also feel really down. Does anyone else have these side effects. I have had 3 days of this. Could anyone advise please.

Hello Ladies, I am having my last Radiotherapy today thank goodness, apart from feeling really tired, I am not suffering with any burns or redness, this maybe due to all the cream I apply everyday which really must help. Can I asked anyone who has finished when the tiredness goes away. I have worked full time throughout my treatment, however I am feeling its too much now, and just want to go home to bed. I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who have posted on here, its really helped. xxxx

I am now 10 days into my RT, and today I feel exhusted, only 5 more to go. How long does the exhustion go on for. I just want to sleep at my desk at work.

I have found a company that do chemical free evertything called Neils Yard. They have a shop in Covent Garden, however if you go on line you can buy it direct for Dorset. They even gave me a plan of what creams to use, and also deodrant and shampoo. I start today, so I will let everyone know how I get on.

Start my Rads today, and I am so nervous now. I have received a large bag of goodies from Neils Yard, which is a god send, as all the products are cemical free, so I have now not to worry what creams and deodrant to buy. I am hoping the next 3 weeks goes ok and that I get no side effects.

Hello Rachy, I have had two really bad anxiety attacks this week, just cannot understand why. I have been on Arimadex for 5 weeks now and this is the first time it has happened, however my mood swings are awful. I am already taking anti depression tablets, so cannot think what else to do. Start my Rads on the 19th. I am not sure if I should contact my doctor and call my BC nurse.

Hi Ali Good luck with your Rads on the 21st, to be honest this is not a worry for me, not sure wny, but the medication is. I cannot understand why I have been putting on Weight, as I am very very strict in what I eat, so it must be the meds.

I start mine on the 19th September for 4 weeks. I am going to have to work full time due to my company not paying me unless I work. I work within a customer service enviorment and it can get a bit stressful at times. The hospital have been kind enough for me to have the appointment after work, so that I can go straight home and rest before my next days work. Has anyone else had to deal with working full 40 hour week and Rads, if so how did you feel.

I start Radiotherapy on the 19th for 4 weeks, and must admit I am not feeling nervous at all. I am very lucky to have my hospital 5 miles away from me, as some people travel miles, so my heart goes out to them. The only thing I am a little worried about is what cream to use, some are saying E45 others are saying other natural products. I am not a big fan of E45 so could anyone who uses other moisturisers name a good one to get?

Ok wrote my post on the 23rd August, and now getting to the stage where I am thinking of coming off them as more weight put on. Walking 10,000 steps eating no carbs or sweets things, everything very low fat. Also getting awful cramps and non sleep...just had enough, and I have not even started Radiotherapy yet, this will be on the 19th September.

I am getting server pain in my right foot, it just cramps up when I am in bed. It wakes me up, and I have to get up and try and walk, as the pain is so bad. This keeps happening, I am on Anastorzole, but have only been on this for 4 weeks, not sure what I should do, as so exhusted getting no sleep.

I have been taking Anastrozole for only 4 weeks, and have put on over half a stone in weight, even though I am counting calories. I am so down about it. I am not sure what to do about it. I am only 5'2 and now weigh 10 stone 8lbs, so I look really blotted.

Thank you for you reply, my company will not pay me for any time taken off. I have had to give up 9 days holiday due to non payment although they paid me for the two days I have two operations. They have not been that supportive and I have not been offered OH at all. To be honest not only have I had to deal with BC but having to return to work after only having one week of after both ops.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask it anyone working full time has coped with having Radiotherapy then returning to work straight after. I will be staring my treatment within the next week or so, and am very concerend how it will effect my work.

Thank you Optimissy, you have given me some insight on taking this drug. I am 57 and still suffer the most herrendous hot flushers, which have effected both my sleep and work life, so have more hot flushes than normal would just be a nightmare. I will think long and hard about this drug, and may also wait until I have finished my radiotherapy before taking it. I am a very active person, and the thought of not being able to do all the things I love would be awful, and I have read that they are not always nessary to keep from having secondary cancer. Again thank you for your very helpful reply. x
